What's new

Go Warren!

Sanders isnt against being rich or successful, he just thinks you need to pay proper taxes for the luxuries America has afforded those people to obtain wealth.

Awfully convenient for someone about to croak. He got enjoy his money. Now he wants to close the door behind him.

He can more of he would like to, but he dont. I will belie someone's sincerity when they lead by example.

Nah, not really. She's just a candidate for the truly moderate or uneducated fake liberal.
Boom! That's me. I'm not a liberal and I dropped out of high school. I knew she was the one!

And you can eat my ***.

Warren has wider appeal than sanders. Sanders only appeals to one demographic; young White males. His campaign has done nothing to expand his appeal to any other demographic. Sorry Bernie bros, but if you want the nomination you gotta appeal to women and minorities. Warren, Harris, and Biden do this, sanders doesn’t.

The Democrats could probably run Spongebob as their candidate and still win NY, CT, MA, CA, OR, WA and IL. The key battleground states will be the same as they've been in the past: Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and one or two others. If Trump carries those, he'll win again. So the question is, who the Dems have who can beat Trump in those states?

That’s not what pollsters are saying. Florida and Ohio are probably lost to Dems. North Carolina and Pennsylvania are trending blue. Last state election in Carolina went blue.

The key states are going to be Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Trump won these states by 80,000 votes. What’s he done to build on this besides alienate the college educated and suburban women? Whoever wins these 3 will win the election and clearly they’re not moving in Trump’s direction.

Do we really want to talk about the crappy republican candidates and southern states who support them? Really?

Democrats aren’t the mindless cultists that republicans are. Stop projecting. No way Dems would’ve let Clinton get away with half the **** republicans are letting trump get away with.

At this point, what republican couldn’t win most of the southern states? Would a man who brags about sexual assault and blackmails a foreign country for dirt on a political opponent lose southern states support?

Haha.

Man, you guys are so close to getting that free pass you can practically taste it.

I would definitely go for Bernie too. No way Warren follows through. Thats why the DNC will screw over Sanders again. The establishment isnt going to let Bernie in. So I guess thats a good sign he might actually follow through. I wouldn't hold my breathe though. Probably some other reason Bernie wants to be President.

In a way, Trump is exactly what you needed to get what you want. The pendulum has a chance to swing really far left after him. Its one of the reasons I dont like Trump's presidency. He's bringing the weird out of people.

Free pass?

Is that what's its called when you want people like Jeff Bezos to stop abusing tax loopholes?

Here's one thing people need to understand about polls, regardless of their methodology--whether they're phone interviews, written surveys, online surveys, in-person canvassing, etc. The people who participate in polls are self selecting. Even if the population samples are well chosen (e.g., zip code, gender, ethnicity, income, etc.) and statistically valid, the respondents are always people who are willing and interested to participate. Right now, Republicans and others who support Trump have zero motivation to participate in polls, which are primarily asking people which Democratic candidate they prefer. Trump supporters have always been underrepresented in polls. Even polls taken within 36 hours of the last election and exit polls taken on election day were predicting Hillary Clinton would win the last election handily.

Current polls that project candidates like Sanders, Harris or Buttigieg beating Trump in a general election are clearly not including Trump supporters in their samples. They're primarily polls that target Democrats for the purpose of stack-ranking the Democrat candidates.

Dems are going to need a strong candidate to beat Trump in Fla, NC, Ohio and Penn. I don't think they have one who can do it, at least not yet. I don't think either Biden or Sanders can carry a national election, one because he's too uninspiring, and the other because he's too radical. I have doubts about Warren as well.

I'll grant she's not as far to the left as Sanders, but she's easily on the left side of the Democratic party.

I like Bernie, I voted for him in the primary last election, but he's not the only true progressive candidate.

I think this thread demonstrates why the Democrats might have trouble.
I think you are trying to say that this thread shows they aren't United.
Pretty sure they are united against Trump.
Bernie fans will vote Warren and Warren fans will vote Bernie even if reluctantly. After all, they ain't trump

No, they actually don’t. Look at the electoral map. Here’s one, check it out.

Dems could win only the same states as 2016, losing Florida, North Carolina, and Ohio and still win the the electoral college if they merely rebuild the blue wall of Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin (giving them 276 of the required 270 votes). Trump won those 3 states by 80,000 votes. They could even lose Wisconsin and still win as long as they win Arizona. And don’t get me started if Texas goes blue.

What has he done to expand his appeal in the blue wall? Tariffs? Tax cuts for the rich? Using Ukraine to find dirt on Biden?

Likewise, what have democrats done to expand there? Well, seeing that Hillary didn’t really campaign there and was spending time in Arizona, I’d say anything would be an improvement over 2016! Even better if they find a candidate who appeals to them. I think Biden plays very well to the blue wall and warren’s “Populism” does too. I think trumpworld should worry about Warren. Unlike trump, her attacks on corporations and elitists is legit. Trump campaigns as a populist and governs as a kleptocrat.

You overstate what Dems have to do to win and understate what Trump must do to win.

Warren is a fraud.

If you have to offer free stuff in exchange for votes then you have nothing to offer. All the free stuff she is offering will never happen.

Liberals are such suckers. The Democrats are so desperate right now. Id actually wouldnt mind watching liberals get suckered into thinking they are getting some free stuff only to be left standing with open empty hand by the end her term.

Warren is an establishment Democrat. She isnt in it for the little guy. She isnt going to give you free **** you dummies. She is just telling you what you want to hear.
lol
