What's new

Go Warren!

For a Democrat to become president you need a rock star. If you accept the fact that LBJ rode into the WH in 64 on JFK's coattails you're looking at one Dem president since WWII that wasn't a rock star. Warren is about a far as you can get from a rock star.

And her taking Trump's bait on the Native American thing was very disappointing - if she's the pick she better have learned from that.
Rockstar lol
How many albums did Obama release?

Not a perfect candidate, but I like her quite a bit and would be very comfortable voting for her come general election time.
Has there ever been a perfect candidate? Serious question.

To me Warren is most likely another Obama. A person who probably means well, but they dont have the gusto to truly shake **** up. Sanders has a proven track record of bucking the system and doing what's right by working people. He isnt afraid to make TRUE change, not incremental BS they teach you in a poly sci class.
Sanders probably be dead before his first term ends doe

I really really like Sanders. But..... When I started typing his name into the Google it predicted that my search would be Bernie Sanders age before I even finished typing his name.

He is 78. Life expectancy in the US? 78.69 years.

So? I'd rather have X number of great years from a great leader who is probably going to appoint a great VP.

And that's the same **** they said about him in '16 and the ************ is still alive and sharp as ever. He's in better health than Trump's lard *** anyway.

I would gladly vote for Warren if she does EARN the nomination, but I won't be happy if some BS happens like it did with Clinton over Sanders in 06.

Feels like the establishment is starting to realize Joe Biden is a total moron and they are latching onto Warren because they are scared of Sanders.

Sanders has a really staunch base of support, but the DNC doesn't seem to want him to be the nominee. He's probably too far left to win a general election. His Green New Deal is pretty radical and unrealistic, and his Healthcare for All bill is getting pushback from Dems. That said, it's going to get ugly when the DNC asks him to bow out again. There's a risk it will split the Dem party.

He's not a Democrat, He's a self-identified socialist. I'm not voting for a socialist. Warren isn't a socialist.

That kind of ends the debate for me.

Most people dislike the Dem party, it needs to be split. They need to stop being Republican Light and start working for working people.

Sanders would slaughter Trump for that reason. He would dominate the rust belt, which is the swing region in Presidential elections.

Warren was the brains, the passion and the muscle behind the Consumer Protections Act and the foundation of the Consumer Financial Protections Bureau...

Sanders isnt against being rich or successful, he just thinks you need to pay proper taxes for the luxuries America has afforded those people to obtain wealth.

This is interesting because so many Americans are angry at our current economic system and want to take things back to the 1950s. Taxes on the rich were higher back then. So if we want to have a more equitable and fair society, taxes must be raised on the richest. Otherwise, wealth disparity between the 1 percent and the 99 percent will continue to increase.

One thing that’s interesting about the inheritance tax (estate tax). Thomas Jefferson was a huge fan. In his opinion, every generation needed to work for its own keep rather than just inherit wealth from your rich parents.

If we had a much higher estate tax, Donald would’ve actually had to work for his wealth instead of just inherit everything. Shouldn’t this be more of the American Dream? Why should kids be rich and spoiled and never have fo work because you made it big? Shouldn’t everyone have to prove themselves?
