The “I’m a Mike Conley hating bitch” list

I will say that it was obvious to me watching Conley last season that he had already lost a step, that is vs the truly elite athlete's at PG's though. The starting PG position is still the toughest gauntlet to run in the biz, but i mean, thats why he gets paid 33 million a year... right?

Mike Conley is gonna get paid more $$$ this season than any Utah Jazzman in history.

I dont really think it's an outrageous claim, that hes lost a step -- thats what my eye test told me while keeping a close watch over precisely that, because it kinda stuck out to me... I dont think the decision makers in the FO overlooked that, the idea is that he's in the savvy vet stage of his career, i presume..

He's 32 years old and has played 28,000 career minutes. It's fair to assume there's some tread worn off those tires.. the 82 game schedule is grueling... Also 'todays elite athlete' is always being redefined, if not by small increments each year.. It is what it is..

Not to be that guy, but there has been many occasions where I've taken the stance counter to the general consensus around here and been proven right over time.. The George Hill trade being wastefulland the entire Gordon Hayward saga immediately come to mind, and the Boris Diaw/Joe Johnson "win now" moves too. I dont do it to play the devils advocate, im just sharing my opinions. we'll see.

Quit trying to manufacture a positive story for yourself and just live life. Soak up all the good that naturally happens. No need to make yourself a headline and seek the glory and adulation of jazzfanzers. Take your own advice.

Some of the comments on twitter were pretty hilarious tonight. People hitting the panic button after two games.

Sounds like you've taken a heavy dosage of Personal Incredulity Fallacy and
Tu quoque Fallacy to come up with all that.

I dont need to manufacture any stories, what are you even talking about? Oh i get it, this is a Straw-man fallacy. I'm just calling spades spades. If its too complex for you to digest and refute, then why not over-simplify? Thats the play!

You say he hasnt lost a step? at 32 years old almost 30,000 minutes played? Thats something worth being defensive over?

I say you might be falling victim to the Slothful Induction Fallacy... We'll see how it all plays out.

What did i say in the other thread you're referencing... Was it Extremism? Sensationalism? Look at this absurd thread title you've got. It's all about Bandwagon Fallacies here..

time will tell whos claims lack merit. but here you are trying to claim instant gratification victories right away...

Ok Lord B you’re down on the list

the personal incredulity list? Let me ask you a question; Is it absurd to think that a 32 year old who's played 28,000 minutes has lost a step, in a league who's pace is quickening by the day?

Ffs you clown I’m not talking about whether he’s lost a step from when he was 26-27 duh

I think what will eventually happen, not this year, but sooner than later, will be that Donovan will become the Jazz's point guard. And we will be looking for an All-Star caliber shooting guard, 6-4 to 6-6, to play alongside him.

Could it be that the Jazz roster construction this decade is just not conducive to productive PG play? Is that in the realm of possibilities? Are they, ya know; trying to squeeze blood from a stone, then rinsing and repeating?? That no matter how many assets they throw at the problem, it wont fix, because there's greater systemic issues?

George Hill looked like a perennial all star

I've been saying that for awhile. I'll admit I was caught up in the "anybody but Ricky" excitement. But the time to do the trade was LAST season, when it was Ricky/Derrick, two guys we weren't going to keep. After Memphis GM said no, Dennis needed to walk away. Gave up too much after that.

Jazz have two pint-sized starters in the back court. Are we the smallest in the league? That doesn't bode well when you also have a SF who can't guard a water bottle. Jazz need to find a starting PF and move Donovan to PHG. Unfortunately, Dennis has shot his ***. Jazz have lousy assets due to his spotty draft record. I doubt Brantley, Oni and JWF are going to come riding to the rescue. And once Donovan is off his rookie deal, Jazz won't have cap room. The cap space with Bojan was it. Well, outside the MLE.

Lindsey is going to ride off into the sunset just like KOC did, leaving Zanik with the tough decision to trade a couple of popular players in 5-6 more seasons in order to tear this down and start another rebuild.

Douchebag with the 3000 IQ move to quarantine these gobshites in the asylum. We got the load of bully smalldong and jock strap wrangled already.

Two games in, Mike Conley has sucked ***. Like, he's played historically bad. He's made Ricky Rubio look like Steph Curry. Saying this doesn't mean he's going to continue to play bad and he's more than capable of turning it around (gawd, I hope, because he can't play any worse - knock on wood.)

Two games in, the Mike Conley signing has been a disaster. I'm not sorry if this hurts your poor lil feelings.

On to the next one.

You seem to be obsessed with that which is Phallic.

It wasn’t a signing.
