What's new

Jazz v. T'wolves

I should be surprised that people are trying to blame Conley, yet at the same time are looking at Donovan's 5/24 and not a peep from them about that. But I'm not surprised.
Donovan played terrible, but once again, Conley was a nonfactor at both ends. Bad games happen. I just expected more from Conley. And many times, Donovan is the guy who is asked to bail out the offense at the last second. Its an offense we thought Conley would be better at running.

I get that but I'm not sure that's entirely to blame for us bricking wide open shots.

It's on the players too. Bojan has been great. Royce too. Ingles is cold (or tired) like in previous seasons.

DM has been ok besides this game. He went into hero mode and it was ugly.

Conley is coming along slowly. It's crazy how some of his floaters just rim out. He will be fine. He is getting to the basket and just missing easy shots.

I'm more worried about the bench. I just don't trust Mudiay. He has tunnel vision. And it's like he has one speed/direction. I'm losing count of all the offensive fouls. Green just checks in and out of games.

A lot of new players in a very very complex offense. Takes time.

How does that not apply to any other team? The Lakers and the Celtics are both full of new players. The Heat are at 9-3 being led by two rookies and a hot-headed malcontent they just signed. Hell, the Jazz are doing as well as the Suns, who have the guy we blamed for doing poorly last season AND their #1 pick was suspended for roiding it up.

I mean, how complex is this freaking offense?

That's not true. 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Mike. He was after the boards, and gave a bunch of effort to get them. He also had only 1 turnover to those 6 assists.

Donovan was only good in one part of the game, for a guard. And that was rebounding the ball himself, with 7. If you were to ask me as to who lead the charge in this loss, it's Donovan. You should also expect more from him, than 5/24. A lot of his shots today were some of the worst forced shots you will ever see from him.

As long as we split with them, that was always gonna be the result.

Just thought the games would be swapped.

So much this!

Jazz fans keep repeating this narrative and the point made above ****’s all over that.

Beyond that, why is our offense so complex? To usually end up 14th or 15th in team offense at the end of the year?

K tell me what positives Ingles has brought? 6.8 points? 34% shooting? 28% 3 pt shooting? Damn right yikes. And everyone wants to bag on Mudiay.

We're .5 games up on Minny btw and they just dominated us for most of the game.

He plays hard, defends well and moves the ball. He has lost his pick'n roll threat and therefore he is not getting to the rim. He is not getting easy assists either (it's not the same passing to Bradley, Ed Davis or Green). The shooting will improve.

Minny?Lol. They are a 7 or 8 seed at best. Likely to miss the playoffs.

We missed so many easy shots tonight , outside of that I really think we haven’t replaced what Derek Favours gave us.

when Rudy goes out Derek held his own ... great around the rim , great hands , it’s a huge void now he’s gone

Everyone just jacks up threes no one goes after offensive rebounds not complex seems a little lazy.

You feel confident we get the win next game on the road with Wiggins likely back, after what you saw tonight?

Hope you’re right.

Ingles is the most overrated player on the team since Adam Keefe.

The Celtics play in the East. Lakers have had an easy schedule. Heat are impressive, no doubt.

We have a very intricate offense. It's well-known. And for some players it's a big adjustment. Even with the same players it's taken us a long time to get in rhythm. With all the struggles we still are 8-5.

Ingles has played like an old dude that's beloved by reputation this year. Yeah, he went to the bench but he's underperformed and over appreciated.
