Who cares if people want to impeach a president. With our 2 party ultra partisan system there will always be large amounts of people who want to impeach the president.
If the president doesn't do anything impeachable then who gives a **** what some people want.

What is so hard understand about not wanting to side with corrupt liars?

I have admitted on many occasions that I too can see Trump's flaws. I just dont see them as extreme as you do.

Flawed blowhard trying to do a good job the way he sees it vs Corrupt liars who are massive hypocrites. I will take the first option.

That’s exactly why I say facts don’t matter. These guys have a different (alien) set of values. They truly don’t care about ideology or national security. They care about “winning” a perceived culture war. A culture war being provoked by those in an aging and decreasing in relevance, white demographic. For them, this is their last hoorah. And if they permit Trump to fail, then there will be nothing stopping the urban brown horde from taking over the country, forcing everyone to speak Mexican, give up guns, having free socialist health care, and getting gay married abortions. In their minds, if Trump loses, AOC will become the all powerful empress.

That’s why things like the national debt don’t matter anymore. It’s why they freaked out over Hillary’s emails then shrug their shoulders about Jared using WhatsApp or Donald using his cellphone nonstop. It’s why they whine about the constitution then cheer on a living breathing constitution shredder.

This is a culture war, not an ideological war. Facts don’t matter to them, only feelings. It’s why they’ll support politicians who are gladly ripping away their healthcare. For them, no policy victory can substitute for the feeling of #owninthelibs. Even if it destroys our country.

and I can’t identify with that. The nihilism on the right is just incompatible with my values. The ends don’t justify the means. Sorry

No need to make that any clearer. It's clear as can be.
Yes you think he has lots of character flaws. Sure. You just don't think that the Constitution or any type of law and order or consequences apply to him. I read you loud and clear.

Do you really have to put words in my mouth to make an argument? Why dont you try arguing on substance.

All you have done is reveal your hypocrisy. You dont support law and order. Otherwise you would have no problem with upholding immigration laws. And you wouldn't side with the people who disrespect law enforcement.

It doesn't really matter what I want. I wasn't stating what I want in that post. I was stating what is going to happen.

If you look at impeachment inquiry/impeachment + removal polls the American people are telling us all we need to know. Before the news regarding Ukraine released support for inquiry/impeachment was about 40%. Right after the news about Ukraine broke it rose sharply to about 47%. It peaked in mid October at about 49% and has been declining since. It's down to about 47%.

What does this tell us?

It says the American people were intrigued by the Ukraine scandal. They wanted to hear the story and come to a conclusion. Support peaked right around the time the hearings were to begin. The hearings took place and most Americans either 1) Felt it was a political game by democrats, 2) Felt like the testimonies relied too much on feelings/opinions/interpretations of what happened instead of hard evidence, 3) Believed the story but didn't find it damning enough to support impeachment.

Whatever the case democrats have failed to convince the public. The only things they've succeeded in doing is riling up Trump's hardcore base to be more passionate about 2020 than 2016, losing possible 2020 independent voters who are now upset that the only thing that is getting done is an impeachment they don't support, and very likely losing house seats in democrats won in Trump won districts in 2016.

2020 gonna be ugly for Dems trust me. If they thought 2016 was a nightmare... ay yi yi.

I have no dog in the fight by the way. I'm happily independent. Sick of 99% of these people this country puts in office tbh.
