Crowder is a fine player, as is Favors whose primary role was backing up Rudy. Neto was a good player when he could play. Udoh was better than Ed Davis. Burks was better than anyone we have coming off the bench now and he was regularly in the dog house. It was last year too before the Korver trade
The bench unit played like complete trash before the Korver trade. I'm not talking comparing guys individually. The bench isn't bad because of individuals, its bad because of how everyone fits together.Crowder is a fine player, as is Favors whose primary role was backing up Rudy. The primary problem is non shooting PGs and non shootings bigs being played together. The Jazz need another guard who can handle and shoot for the bench
I'm leaning toward a yes on this. Donovan is growing into the upper tier of game finishers and Rudy is an absolute force when the game is close at the end. It's not optimal, but they are really good at the end of games. Will work for other teams when they have someone like Lebron or Kawhi. Won't work for us. Even players like Harden had hard time adjusting to the heavy work load and lack of rotations in HOU during playoffs, you think we have players that are even remotely comparable talent wise to those superstars in the league who can singlehandedly give you Ws if you play them heavy minutes?
Neto couldn't really shoot. I mean someone who can shoot shoot. Like a Patty Mills.Reading your last sentence it sounds like the guy you miss most from last season would be Neto. Since he can handle and shoot (39% three point shooter for his career and 47% this season).
