If he is 80% of the player his numbers suggest he's better than a Jerami Grant type of guy or at least in that tier/mold.

The background checks would need to come out alright though... that's why he was undrafted.

Honestly, I'd rather trade for him in what could be a fluke season on a cheap contract than spend real money on him if it is a fluke anyway (if it was a one or the other proposition). His all-over-the place history gives me pause in the longterm but I think he's good to go this year.

Getting him in the fold would give us a chance to see what his weird history is all about and if he's worth investing in further.

As @infection said, use some sleight-of-hand and maybe it works. This could also be used in other trades to juice them, or the optics at bare minimum.

Probably true... I think they would almost have to trade Drummond or let him walk though if they wanted to commit financially to Wood.
