Elephant in the room... but... we didn’t really play Conley in clutch time. And he was back to sucking again. And honestly, not sure if he’s needed if we roll with Mitchell, Royce, Jingles, Bojan, and Gobert. Even if he’s not sucking, who are we going to bench? Jingles or Royce?

How much Conley’s his contract again? Couldn’t we have had Seth Curry at a fraction of the cost? But whatever. Again, the elephant in the room is figuring out Conley’s role now that Jingles has exploded and Clarkson has been added?

We haven't played Conley in clutch time since he came back from injury, I think mostly because of his minutes restriction. I must admit it is a bit of a concern though. I would much rather have Joe and Royce on the floor to finish games than Conley, I honestly think they give us a better chance of winning. Quin's going to have some tough choices to make once Conley's done with the minute restriction.

So I think we absolutely need his playmaking... I think there should be matchups where he closes... but I’ve been pointing out all along that we want Ingles out there for defensive length and to run stuff with Rudy... Royce is needed for his defense... end of game is DM time... I really think the coming off the bench thing should be permanent. I’m not 1000% sold on JC... some of his warts are starting to show... I think we need more Conley in those moments and less JC.

We could use that space and those trade assets differently if we went back in time... but having a super duper 6th man is our best current use for him. Unless we could net something amazing in trade.

Oh, screw off!

I feel like the only thing we need is a backup defensive 5. Bradley next to Niang is just rough defensively when our defensive scheme is to run opponents off the three point line and funnel to our center. Bradley has proven he has the potential to be a useful NBA player. But asking a guy who is more of offensive player to guard his man, defend the driver funneled to him, boxout and rebound is a big ask. Especially when Niang is of little help in those areas. We put more pressure on our center to defend than other teams do. If we want Niangs shooting on the floor (Quin obviously does), then we need a center who can be that defender we need for 10-15 minutes a night

One of the best wins this season, we didn't really play very well but we forced the win, this team is mentally strong, that's what the best do, continue and don't give up knowing they will prevail in the end. And Rudy is a an absolute monster.

I agree a stretch 5 with defense, easier said then done though.
