It looks like the locker room drama that was speculated is real

So... yeah.

First we're benching Mike to start Royce.

Two hours later we've changed our minds and we're benching Joe to start Royce.

Nobody on the team is showing effort on defense.

Guys are pouting, body language sucks.

Looks like the locker room drama is real and we're f*****. The front office and coaching staff is just trying to appease egos in a desperate attempt to save it. Fun times. What a waste of a f****** season that had so much potential.

I've been positive of this teams chances all season. But it looks like I was an idiot to believe.

I'm not watching the disaster tonight.

Im glad you didn’t bet on the 2 seed.

I got bad news: the fact that the team is small-market and in Utah is significant here. Mike f’n Conley can’t get dealt to a place like Utah and see his image get tarnished. This is 2020, and the NBA is full of spectacle and brands. The Jazz organization is also hung up on these problems—trying their best to remake their image.

This is a multi-pronged culture problem. And it’s basically intractable as far as I can tell.

Memphis is a small market too. The problem is that Mike Conley isn't the versatile player we thought we were getting. Age could be a factor, but I don't think that's really it. He's always been a small, ball-dominant point guard with everything set up around him to make him successful. He's a bit limited on offense, and certainly on defense too.

He had one great playoff run and that seems to be what many people thing is the normal Mike Conley. He is a good guy, and played in a PG centric system which helped him. His numbers are similar to his past production. I watched him a lot with Memphis. That system was built for his style. I thought he would struggle here offensively, but didn't think it would be this bad. His defense has been substantially worse than I expected. Don't think he wants to be here. If management does not fix this, Utah will see it's core jettison to other teams and the Jazz will linger in mediocrity. Conley will go down as one of the greatest Jazz mistakes.

Anyone think that mighty Quin might, possibly changed the offensive sets to take advantage of not only Conley's but also Davis' and Green's strengths. Just a heritics thought.

Strengths? What ****ing strengths? Have you been watching the games this season?

I know they have looked like poo in the Jazz sets, but I think they all showed something last year in their NBA stops. Crap Green had 17 points in 19 minutes the other night for the Rockets. When you have players suck this bad is it the players or is the system going to make them unsuccessful.

All the dumb *** mother ****as that say Mitchell can't be point guard need to stop the ********. The Jazz got cute with adding Mike and it butt ****ed us so far up da ***

Man, you can really crack off some obvious **** sometimes. Needless to say, Salt Lake City isn’t Memphis.

Maybe this year. But maybe they are starting to realize that Donovan at the PG is our future.

Hopefully anyways.

I didn't like Quin in Missouri (lived there) and was not happy with the hire by the Jazz.

I hate his sets. Absolutely hate them. He runs some of the horns (when he isn't doing the screen mismatch crap that the best NBA teams have personnel to negate) but does not run the wrinkles that Pop does.

Look at what Pop is doing. The Spurs aren't that talented, bit they run sets that get good shots. And they play defense (get over screens, guard shooting hand coming over screens, anticipate screens and don't let the defender get set, take charges, etc.). And they own the Jazz.

Quin was touted as an offensive genius. When that didn't come to fruition, the Jazz touted him as a defensive genius, when our D sucks with Rudy off the floor.

I’ll assume some of what you say is true but your reference of the defense of the Spurs is laughable. They rank 26th this season in defensive efficiency.

Are you sure he wouldn't just abruptly resign? Cause when he had real drama to deal with thatbis exactly what he did.
He resigned when management would not suspend DWill after DWill ran the wrong play 17 straight times in the game vs. the Bulls. Management would not back him and that was that. As an aside, Sloan said Stockton ran the wrong play once in his career and that came in a playoff game when the noise was deafening and he did not hear Sloan.
