What's new

how NOT ready is JFC for this next 10+ games

You mean the next 19 games?

The schedule the rest of the way is pretty tough, there are a few easy games sprinkled in but not many. Given our struggles against good teams, things could get pretty ugly. It's a shame because we're now only 1 game out of 3rd place.

Both OKC and Dallas are within 1 game of Houston. Houston has just lost its last 3 games, including losses to the Knicks and Hornets. Houston could easily drop to 6th or even 7th.

Teams finally figured out how to beat a team full of tiny players. Took like a month.

But we beat the Knicks and they have 874 power forwards.

Size isn't our issue. Consistency is.

The Jazz are likely opening the playoffs on the road, so the probabilities favor the Clippers, Nuggets, or Houston as first round opponents.

Which team do we want to face in the playoffs out of the realistic options. I rank them as:

OKC
Dallas
Denver
Houston

That's about right. OKC would be a physical series, but I think we'd win in 5 or 6 games. I think we'd beat Dallas in 5 or 6 games as well. I think we'd ultimately beat Denver, but it would go 6 or 7 games.

Houston would be a toss-up because we have a hard time scoring against their switching defense, but they'd need consistent performances offensively from Westbrook and Gordon to beat us.

If we can't get the Clippers to fall to the 4th seed, seeding doesn't matter as much. We'll have to play the Clippers or Lakers in the 2nd round. Personally, I think we can challenge the Clippers, but they'd be favored.
