Can't **** just be real anymore? There's a highly contagious virus that we've only known about for like 4 months crisscrossing the globe and people want to slow it down a little so that it doesn't overwhelm medical infrastructure. Do you wonder if maybe the most obvious thing is actually the thing that is happening or is that too boring and you;d rather create and live in some fantasy world instead?

I think New York and LA are going to be hotspots for a while. What I would do is hold an NCAA-style tournament by region in places that won't be under travel restrictions.

72 games would give them the option to get away from conference play pretty easily too. Each team plays the other 29 teams twice (58 games) and then the bottom 15 teams play each other one more time, while the top 15 teams play each other one more time (14 games) = a fair way to do 72 games.
