Nah, I don't think many of us will see these until later this month or potentially May and later.
The real question to me is if they end up considering a second round of these. Read today that 1/3 of people didn't pay their rent this month and with unemployment >10% on the next report, can't imagine this money is going to go very far for those that need it.

Yeah, this will do next to nothing for most people. They'll have to do another round or let everyone get back to work.
The numbers on people going to food banks for the 1st time are crazy. The checks arent coming fast enough and overall they won't be enough.
Yeah, but even if everyone can return to work by the end of the month who is going to have money to spend to make all these returning businesses viable?

Exactly - the long-tail impact of this means that individuals will be more likely to scrimp and save to spend their money on food/rent vs. other purchases. That's going to impact a lot of quarterly results.
If you're looking to buy a car, you're going to find some killer deals the second half of the year. You already see 0% financing being tossed for 7 years and multiple payment deferrals - I would expect the incentives to get even better.

I read they could start as early as tomorrow but most likely on Monday the 13th. People who filed their taxes for 2019 are supposed to get them first.

I've seen multiple studies that have the number of people in this country living check to check at about 45-50%. You throw in another 10-15% that may have a small savings but have a mountain of debt that they're paying down in small increments and you're looking at up to two-thirds of the country with little or no liquidity.
So yeah, one check isn't going to do it. They should pay people to stay home until this is over. Otherwise an underground economy will start up (businesses opening up at 2am or by appointment basis) and it will just prolong the damn thing.
