I’m surprised that we haven’t discussed this yet. But voting! So this happened today in Wisconsin because Republicans in the state saw an opportunity to exploit low voter turnout. A judge was struggling for re-election. But because low turnout favors Republicans and the hardest hit areas by the virus are urban areas, they insisted on holding the election today. Trump even admitted it:

Here’s some videos of the lines in Wisconsin. The Republican Speaker PF the House telling people how safe it is:
Nothing screams, “it’s safe” like wearing a hazmat suit.
In Milwaukee, they had 5/180 polling stations open for their majority african American population:
what’s your opinion about ways to make voting easier? I mean, why shouldn’t we first of all? And what are some ideas? Some ideas I’ve heard kicked around are mail-in voting, weekend voting, and drive-thru voting. I personally have used mail-in voting to great success. However, I’ve heard that in Wisconsin, voters are waiting 3+ weeks to get their ballots. So it’s obviously ineffective if you can’t get mail-in ballots in a reasonable amount of time.
obviously, we shouldn’t have to choose between getting sick with a deadly virus to vote or staying safe at home. But with one party actively trying to suppress the vote, what would you like to see done so this November doesn’t become a *********** like Wisconsin? You know trump will tell his cult to vote (and won’t care how many die after). And you know that the poorest and most urbanized areas will be the places with the longest lines (and the most vulnerable to illness). So what can be done?

In an interview on “Fox & Friends,” Trump referenced proposals from Democrats in the coronavirus stimulus negotiations that would have vastly increased funding for absentee and vote-by-mail options. The final package included $400 million for the effort, which was far less than what Democrats had sought.
“The things they had in there were crazy,” Trump said. “They had things — levels of voting that, if you ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”
