Stockton and Kareem. The most offensive duo ever!!
I’ve combined the most unstoppable shot (Skyhook), and all time leading scorer with the most pass happy eccentric pass first pg of all time. Stockton is going to do for Kareem what he did for Malone. If you thought Magic did wonders for Kareem’s career Stockton turns Kareem into a over juiced machine that will get the ball over and over and over again till dikembe Mutombo is completely beaten to a pulp and all confidence is shot to hell.
Stockton and the pick’n roll.
No one did it better or understood how to do it better than John. On this team he has a great pick’n roll or pop partner in Zo. Zo is built a lot like Malone, he’s a freight train cutting down the lane but can also keep defenses guessing as he is a good shooter from outside, not three point range but he is proficient heading outside shots inside the three point line.
Defense
My team Philosophy is: I realize the greatness of Bird, I know it’s a pipe dream that I can defense him to the point of shutting him down, what I can do is minimize everyone else. In doing this and my wings playing physical defense on him and Clyde being physical and aggressive on offense we will make him work. I also have great switch ability on pick’n rolls making it difficult to get and generate open shots for Bird or anyone else. Zo, being who he is will keep a body on Barkley, he’s naturally has an intense personality, will impose his will on Barkley, Zo is stronger more physical and fights everybit as hard as Barkley
Both Zo and Jareem are great rim protectors, Stockton though small in stature and not physically imposing is pound for pound the toughest 6-1 pg in the game and all time leader in steals. A great help defender thanks to his great IQ. He had an ability to see things and know what the other guy was going to do which gave him the ability to anticipate and get deflections and steals or break up a called play. Clyde and Mitch aren’t great defenders but also don’t hurt their respective teams eather. Rod Strickland was one of the best defensive pg’s of the 90’s.
Versatile bench
While Zo starts at PF, he will also serve as the primary center off the bench in that Derrick Favors role. Zo was one of the best defensive bigs in the game. Good rebounder, defender in the post and rim protector who played with great intensity and passion, no one out works him because of it.
McHale is an elite post player that could score at will and defend like crazy. People don’t realize just how good a defender he was, very good hard nosed defender and shot blocker. Zo and McHale will open things up for great shooting on the perimeter from Person and Kukoc who are interchangeable who bring different set of skills to the table. Kukoc was very skilled with a nice floor game and a great passer getting teammates involved. Person was a great shooter with a nice post game, and score in a variety of ways. Then there’s Dale Ellis. He was the original top dog shooter. One of the best and in the argument for best shooter of both the 80’s and 90’s. People forget that Ellis was an elite scorer. He had a four year span where he averaged between 23-27 pts a game. In this setting we don’t need him to be a great scorer, but to provide room for my great inside game and strike terror in the other team as he rains down threes. These three will make life that much better for my bench bigs Zo and McHale or even Zo and Kareem.
Clyde and Mitch
Clyde is one of the most athletic and prolific scorers at his position in NBA history. His dives to the hoop and gliding finish are legendary. Mitch is one of the most consistent and deadly shooters of all time with a knack for putting the ball in the hoop. As the opposing team tries to stop the combination of Stockton and Kareem, that’s when Stockton always makes the right play hitting Mitch for an open three or the lane opens up for Stockton hitting a cutting Clyde the glide for his patented jams

On offense I can play in a verity of ways thanks to position-less basketball and keep the defense off balance. I have 4 guys who’s 3point volume rivals the volume players shoot with in this era. More than my opponent and as much or more than any team in this.
