Yes, that's the exact model. It was cheap! Haha, everything here is cheap except housing and imported luxury brands. Well, housing is cheap some places just not Beijing. My girlfriend's place is about 800 sqft 2 bed 1 bath in a complex and it's worth about 1 million USD. Which is insane to me.

I feel like I got a very good chip. I'm not at all expert on overclocking, but I've been running this chip at 5ghz since I bought it. No special effort, when I set the system up I set voltage at 1.235 and chip at 5ghz.

I was messing with my set-up yesterday, repositioning my AIO liquid cpu cooler and I snapped one of the fittings. So I bought one of the cheapest air coolers I found in 30s of trying, a $36 cooler master hyper 212 black (could have saved $2 for non-black). My temps are MUCH lower (from mid 40s at idle to mid 30s, only getting to mid 80s during benchmarking) and at the same voltage I bumped my clock speed to 5.1ghz and I'm still running cooler than I ever did with my AIO water cooler.

The hyper 212 has been on the market with little change for a long time now (6 to 8 years I believe, maybe longer) for a good reason: it is cheap and very effective for most situations. I ran with one for a long time, in fact until I got into a higher end chipset with a heavier overclock and even then I started with the 212 and upgraded to a Noctua as the OC was driving higher temps than the 212 could handle. But it is a great air cooler, no doubt.

Looking at the main shopping platform there seems to be a really expensive Asus one that's 26". I don't see many others. Doesn't Alienware have one?
 
I also washed my keyboard in the dishwasher, a corsair K70 Lux RGB. It was touch and go the day after but I'm typing on it now 2 days later.
 
Up late looking to get an Nvidia RTX 3080 FE at launch.

Football Manager 2020 is free at Epic Games. I routinely spend around 400 hours every year playing. It's complicated for any newcomer but damn is it entertaining.

I would devour a basketball manager game if it was as good as the FM franchise.

I've logged so many hours into fifa over the years its probably about time I try something different.

FIFA is fine, I play it a lot too but I never warmed up to FUT and career mode is a joke. We do a lot of couch tournaments and that's where the most fun is.

FM is so much more rewarding. It's just one of those games you say one more turn.

I miss gaming on PC.. Year ago I bought playstation thinking that I am too old to spend much more money on a pc which I would use just for gaming. Console is fine but I just miss the diversity of games dedicated for PC. I loved games like ARMA series (the best FPS ever) , Il 2 Sturmovik (great WW2 plane sim), Total War, Anno..

Nvidia RTX 3090 launch was almost identical to the RTX 3080 launch. I didn't plan to buy one, but I did want to see if a $1500 graphics card would be slightly easier to get. It was not. Never had an option to put it in my cart over 5 different websites within seconds of launch.

This, however, is somewhat inspiring.

I did load up CS GO and kill bots as a form of revenge against bots, but I feel like the bots have an unlimited tolerance for pain.
 
I feel really good that in the next 10 days I'm getting an RTX 3080.

Positive vibes (along with reports that stock levels will be better than ever during that period).
