Not all of us. Give me a ****ing break with that condescending ********. There are times when you have to play coalition politics. The progressive movement has made huge gains since 2015. Getting Trump out of office is good strategy and clear vision. The divisions within people who vote D will become clear enough when it’s opportune.
 
Can you still make votes visible? Not sure the poll means much without that, as IDTT and Jazzy certainly don't qualify as Bernie Bros by any measure.

Im not blithely cynical; I don't sympathize with the people with boogeymen living inside their heads. Trump and his policies hasn't actually harmed any of them, yet getting rid of him is their tincture. Until it's not and the world is ending and the next boogeyman needs to be gotten rid of. Rinse, repeat. Nothing ever changes.

I bet the vast majority can't give you an actual, rational problem Trump has caused them personally other than self inflicted mental anguish.

You have to recognize a problem to be blithe about it. But hey, at least it's no longer the right and Obama. They were brutally obnoxious.

I could breakdown your last few posts and disagree with a lot of the points, line by line. But instead, I’m gonna reach out and agree with you on the more general state of brokenness. We do see eye to eye on that.

If you see a climate crisis coming, as I do, then you’re probably more willing to make some odd compromises in hopes of turning some things around and maybe avoiding the worst of things. For example, I’ve had a long-running disagreement with folks who conceptualize our role and place in nature as “stewards” because I think that concept is fundamentally rooted in some backwards thoughts; but I’m currently saying “yeah, stewardship, that’s fine... but can you start to take that more seriously, pls?”

This broadly mirrors my support of Biden. Like, “yeah, that’s fine, but...”. **** has to be turned around before the supposed bottom of brokenness is reached. So let’s call this the bottom, eh? Otherwise our retirement savings will take a brutal hit and we’ll spend the rest of it on increasing food costs, etc.

(You can take umbrage with the concept of a political “movement” if you want. But, from my perspective, the way you’ve done so in this thread is an element of the blithe cynicism I’ve mentioned. I’m not going to join you there. Yet. Hopefully before things get too bad for me I can move back to my wife’s family farm property in central Massachusetts and find tons of new things to feel passionately about on those 40 acres).

Easy to be blithe about that. The earth doesnt have capacity to support 7 billion mouthes for long. We'll run out of potassium deposits in 100 short years and have to mine the low grade oceans for it. But there is an easy solution when one in four Utah children are obese and one in five are starving: feed the fat ones to the skinny ones.

My concerns go well beyond humanity, at what ever number.
