Jazz Hire Sergi Olivia

Mods -- I'm wondering if there's any way to change the title: it's "Oliva," not "Olivia." The original tweets got it wrong.

Can't claim to have much of an opinion about the hire, but hope it works well.

Interesting. The stuff I saw from the Philly sites make it seem like he was semi-dictating to Brown what lineups to trot out there based on analytics; so that narrative brings in a different aspect (not that he couldn't be involved in both).

That can’t be good... seems the 76ers have been underachieving the last few years.

Ain’t his fault that Ben Simmons is a dickhead with a massive crater in his game or that Embiid is ****ing immature and misses games as a rule.

Brown didn’t manage that locker room for **** and their foundational players don’t fit.

You have to understand the dynamic in the sixers front office. This was one of the last or the last Hinkie guy. All the other guys need someone to throw under the bus for their BS. Pompey is kind of the guy that gets the leaks that the other front office guys want to get out. I think this is a solid addition.

They are throwing this guy under the bus because the only other option is to throw themselves under the bus. This guy wasn’t the reason they let Jimmy go and overpaid Horford and Tobias.

Really short, direct chartered flight back home to Columbus, though. And maybe there’s some elevated sense of optimism with Doc leading the way. I can see Conley co-signing and leaving to Philly on good terms.

It’s tough because they have a committee approach so Brand might not be the issue. I listen to the Rights to Ricky Sanchez pod and they go off on how stupid the structure is. If you have a committee everyone is to blame instead of no one... but they keep throwing old Hinkie guys under the bus.
