Last year PG was in the MVP race and dpoy race. Crazy how wild this board can swing after one bad playoffs in the bubble. He came in 3rd place in both of those.
My problem with him is his age and personality. I seriously doubt he wants to play in Utah. So it's a no for me. If he wanted to be here and was committed to the Jazz it would be an easy yes for me.
Struggling in the playoffs at times is a knock. But he also does everything else well when his shot isn't going in. Plus he is still trying to figure things out on a new team and the bubble was just weird for everyone.
We were missing our 3rd best player, and we almost beat Denver.
The Clippers were fully loaded, the favorite to win the title, had a top 3 player in Kawhi, and they lost to Denver in a worse way than we did. Why? PG didn't step up.
PG is a very good player, but I think he's very overrated. Example - guys like Zach Randolph could put up better regular season numbers than Karl Malone or Al Horford or others. But was he really that good? Results say no. Who are you when it matters?
