Meh, never been a Jameer fan. Product of Dwight Howard.

It shouldn't be hard to find a PG that makes the right pass, can stretch the floor with no fear, can defend, and likes getting out in transition, but it is.

No, it really doesn't significantly change the Jazz' outlook short term nor long term. No younger players, no better players. No draft picks. No shorter contracts. Only thing they'd get is one extra player while owing slightly less money overall. The Jazz' record won't significantly change with or without this trade. Thus, it's a lateral move and pointless.

I'm not commenting on the larger trade, but if you can get Jameer Nelson for Devin Harris, you've won (getting a player that ages better and a better system PG all for $3 million less per year).

In three years, I think Devin Harris might just be a poor-mans Andre Miller.

Jazz don't need a system PG because they have no system. By the time they figure out how Kanter, Favors, Burks and Hayward all fit, Nelson will be gone. As will Harris most likely.
