Are the Jazz trading UP for Aaron Nesmith?

Gordon has this year and next. Aminu too. Thats why its saving Orlando $26 million for 21-22.

I agree that we get the better of the deal, but we're also low on Conley due to fit. Maybe Orlando sees Conley as a good fit. He could bring out the best in Vucevic, Ross, and Isaac while helping groom Fultz. Conley would fit next to Bamba better than anything they have.

Orlando has to pay Fultz and Isaac next summer so maybe they think two steps ahead with financials in mind.

Yes but Gordon is on a really good deal. He would get at very least a first and an expiring. If the Phoenix CP deal falls through I could see them throwing #10 and Oubre to get him. They can deal with Aminu later. He's healthy and they could trade him later without attaching stuff if he can stay on the court.

I don't even think theyd do Mike and #23 for AG and Aminu... they definitely ain't giving us the #15.

Nesmith is only really interesting to me as a 4. Think he is overrated as a wing/guard.
How do you think he's a 4? I see that his rebounding is a lot better than the similar-sized Bane (and take it that his playmaking is quite a bit worse). I guess I get that a pure catch-and-shoot guy (which is what Nesmith could turn out to be) works as a 4. But he's Royce's size basically. Few players without Royce's heart can survive as a 4 that way (and even then, it came back to bite us frequently).

I'm spit balling based off the fact Orlando is shopping Gordon. I don't know what his value is.

I dont know if he is, but he has enough size to be. That's why I'm saying he's only interesting to me if he is. I don't think he's anything special as a wing.

Nesmith looks like the twin of Trevon Bluiett. The Jazz don't think Trevon is a prospect so why the love for this guy?

K fine they can have Tony Bradley AND Niang

I think the Jazz probably like about a half dozen guys in this draft, and they'll make efforts to trade up. Not sure if they'll pull it off, but I think they'll try.

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Just because you think he looks like this other player doesn’t mean he does or the jazz think he does, idiot!!
Go look at the two players' college stats and look at what Bluiett did last year for the Stars. Trevon was a great college player and an all american. Height is the same, wing span the same so what am I missing? He obviously is not thought of as a prospect by the front office or Quin. I don't see the love here.

I'm at the point that if a guy is "linked" to the Jazz, especially if the Jazz need to trade up to get him, that guy is 100% NOT coming to the Jazz.

I guess you could say he ....Blu iett

Must’ve shocked you when we got Mitchell, then.
I thought the point of Mitchell was that almost no one knew that the Jazz wanted him. We traded up to get him, so yeah not a lot of people saw that. He did work out, but wasn't the staff sworn to secrecy about how well he did?

No, even Kristen Kenney was public in her praise of Mitchell before the draft, iirc.

I don't see how we would move up even if we wanted to. What would we give up? Royce?
