What's new

Buyout market

Look at LA's next 13 games. It's brutal. They might go 3-10 at best. It's crazy, but the Jazz might have to play the Lakers round 1 depending on when LBJ gets back.

I think they bottom at at the 6th or 7th seed and maybe bounce up a spot or two if their guys get back healthy. If their guys don't come back healthy, then they're nothing to worry about.

Ben Mclemore about to be waived. Any chance we at least get his agent to answer a call ?

He is a better center than LA had last year (Dwight and McGee). Plus, they now have Harrell. The lost Rondo for Shroeder, but overall, the Lakers are better than last year. If they can get healthy..
Agreed. If they are healthy I would put my money on them repeating.
I think schroeder is better than rondo, and harrell is better than howard

That's ridiculous. Players shouldnt have movement rights taken away under any circumstance. By and large most players on the buyout market are pretty washed. Drummond is a very rare circumstance.

If anything, you impose harsher penalties on teams and/or players who are buying out/getting bought out. Make players give up more money to leave a situation and/or make teams pay more to remove a player.

So players shouldn't have movement rights taken away but....... They should be made to be penalized which might make them less likely to move......

It sucks... I'd hope we get the #1 seed and that LA is at least in the 7/8 position. With the way the play in tourney works I think the Lakers would likely land 7th... the league can't have them in a 1 game loser misses the playoffs situation.

I've started rooting for them to win games like they had last night.
I have started to root for them as well

Their shooting numbers are down. Significantly.
Ya I imagine they are much worse without lebron and AD.

Seemed like when they were healthy they were right at the top of the standings though.

Those numbers were down before the injuries, iirc
Fair enough.
I do remember them being #1 in defense though and having a great record.

If the Lakers are all healthy then that's who I would bet on to win it all unfortunately.

However, hopefully them having a tougher path and not having home court in addition to having to gel quickly after getting healthy will be to much for them

They had one of the easiest schedules up to that point. And a very easy travel load, too. Which matters a lot this year.

I definitely hear what you’re saying.... just adding some context.

Actually the fact is we're just better. No worries.

His NBA career has been checkered. He was selected no 7 in the 2013 NBA draft two higher than Trey Burke. Twelve players from that draft all played some minutes with the Jazz. Crazy.

I would take a flier on Skal Labissiere or Glenn Robinson III. Just inject some size, energy and athleticism into our wing rotation. GRIII is a decent shooter.
