What's new

April Jazzers bring the BOOM!!

We only need 9 more games to break the franchise win streak. We need that. I need that. Been waiting a long time for that. Those first 9 all look winnable. If there’s ever a chance to break that streak, it’s now.

Updated OP with wins for last week and the current W/L record for the month.

Let's go HYDRA!! Gotta beat the Mavs tonight!!

If so we would have the best record for any Jazz team ever through 50 games at 39-11!!

I've read this thread since it was posted, but for whatever reason when I read the title this time, I was thinking about Kosta Koufos.

The first one who caught it! Nice!

Suffered our first loss of the month. OP updated.

Let's pray we don't lose our first back to back games now. Next one will be a real test.

The good news is it continues to be historic nights from the teams to beat us. Punching way above their weight to do so.

Gotta get this next one.

GO JAZZ!!

My hope is that the Jazz realize the importance of this game (Suns) and respond accordingly.

Biggest lesson they need to learn as a team is the ability to play as the best team every night and not down to competition.

This team has a historically good record of winning by double digits this season. They just destroyed Orlando by 40 another night. So saying that they need to learn not to play down to the competition is unfair. They laid an egg against Dallas but that happens.

It's not unfair. Some of the players have even admitted to not getting up for games. If we want to be champions, the bar is set to bring it day in and day out.

This. I highly doubt that Ingles, for example, would tell you that he left it all on the court the other night in Dallas. His effort was very low for his recent play. At least Donovan was playing hard, as were some others, even if they couldn't hit a fat guy on a couch with a twinkie from 3 paces all night. Yes we laid a huge goose egg in Dallas and still had a chance to win, that is going to happen. But it will happen more frequently when key players seemingly take the night off.

OP updated. 10/6 is now the best we can do and that's if we beat Phoenix. The way we are both playing right now the odds are slim we do that. GF is probably right at 9/7. Pretty sad showing for April. We are decidedly NOT peaking at the right time. Dropping both games to the wolves was straight inexcusable and pathetic. What a ****** month.

April brings the coasting to the playoffs hoping to be healthy and fresh for when it matters and our players care.
