Mitchell injury

That extra three days rest will be massive!

Not really - goes to show how much we need his offense when the threes aren't falling elsewhere.

They said he was fine though. If he wasn't doing things normally then put him on the injury report and list him as probable.

At least tell the team that he isn't doing things normally do they can gameplan and be ready for him to be out.

They didn't list him as "probable" they just didn't list him at all.

If Joe ingles gets hurt tomorrow can we blame it on the medical staff for not playing Mitchell last night therefore making Ingles do more than he would have if Don were playing?

Exactly my point
If he isn't doing things normally then they should have put him on the injury report as questionable or probable or whatever due to the abnormal things.

But he wasnt wasn't doing things abnormally. He was fine. Hence no Donovan on the injury report.

No, because Donovan had a serious ankle injury which have proven to lead to worse problems if someone tries to push it too early.

As I've said, it is pretty clear his team was pressuring them to play him. The Jazz medical staff clearly weren't comfortable with it and I think were put in a difficult situation. Stopping him from playing hours before is not a decision made for no reason. In the words of Oscar from The Office

"Look, it doesn't take a genius to know that every organization thrives when it has two leaders. Go ahead, name a country that doesn't have two presidents. A boat that sets sail without two captains. Where would Catholicism be without the popes?"

Yes. You should take doctors medical advice especially when they are airing on the side of caution. You should. If he ends up injured in a week you gonna question them?
Let’s be clear... I will question everything. Lots of guys can get hurt when coming back from an injury... but more often than not guys can come back and even play through injuries without long term damage. If long term damage is the issue he shouldn’t have been cleared initially and should have had an update like he will miss the first round. At very least he should have been a game time decision... and let’s be clear... they said he did not aggravate an injury and there have been no setbacks.

Injuries happen... our playoff run this year is our best chance with this core. What if DM waits to come back and Mike or Joe get hurt trying to do too much? There are a lot of hypothetical situations and all of them carry risks.

But Joe has had to carry a higher minute load which puts him at injury risk... it’s proven hence load management became a thing.
