Jazz and Utah Ties in Euroleague Final Four

Familar names to Jazz fans are appearing in the Euroleague Final Four. Jeremy Evans, Tibor Pleiss and Joel Bolomboy are on rosters along with BYU's Brandon Davies and U of Utah's Will Clyburn. 40 year old Pau Gasol is also on one of the teams.

Actually they lost in the final game. Their best player (Mirotic) had a sub-par game in the championship. Davies's stats look pretty decent. Gasol, who never played big minutes for the team, didn't contribute much.

(Just looking at the Barcelona home page: didn't know Davies was claiming Ugandan nationality -- perhaps only for the purposes of Euroleague eligibility?)

Uganda is a former British colony from memory members of the commonwealth are not automatically able to gain EU citizenship. (much easier for former French colonial subjects.) Clive James a late Australian Poet and Critic used to whinge about lining up at Heathrow with the commonality while former Panzer commanders strolled into Britain.
