NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

Paul George gets one of the best whistles in the league... that ************* gets chicken wings out on every play and if guys bump him a bit it’s always a foul.

just had an obvious travel and instead they call a foul and give the guy an And 1.

Reminds me of our G5 where every time we got close, Clips would put together a quick 8-0 run in two minutes and push it back up.

How was this game not called already? I mean small could never work against the suns. Their perimeter defenders are too good and they will just dump the ball down to Ayton and he will dunk all over the smaller defenders or just get all the offensive rebounds.

Cam Payne and now Reggie Jackson. What's going on here? Thought the end of bench scrubs don't matter in playoffs?

He’s on a minimum contract too. Batum and Craig are making huge contributions too. These guys on the fringes ****ing matter.
Yep especially Torrey Craig
His 10 minutes per game and 3 points and 2 rebounds have made lots of difference in this series.

You think cam payne and Reggie Jackson are end of the bench scrubs?
They sure play a ton of minutes for end of the bench guys.

Payne played like 12min tonight. He only gets a decent run when CP3 is hurt but of course it's just an anomaly cuz your starting point guard would never get hurt during playoffs, right?

Jackson is now the sixth man on the Clippers team but that certainly wasn't the plan when the Clippers picked him up off of waiver last year when Detroit cut him. In fact salary wise he's currently their 11th highest paid player. He's receiving more minutes now and therefore pushed Beverley and Rondo further down in the selection chart only because he's played well enough to cement his spot in the rotation. If guys like Oni or Thomas played well enough, they could've challenged Royce or Niang's spot as well.

It’s obviously working and even more of a reason why we need to look at some small ball options this off-season.

Staying on the floor is a skill in itself. Just look at Niang and Oni, both struggled to stay on the floor versus the clipper.

Having Craig instead of both of those guys sure would have been nice. Niang literally gave the game away one game against the Clippers. Gave them like a 10-0 run by himself.

Been saying it for a while. We don't need fancy stats guy any more. We need guys who can serve as those extra bodies and muscle we can throw at the opposition players. That's how you wear your opponent out and grind out Ws during playoffs. Because we overlooked this concept, we became the one that's worn out.

Payne played 18 minutes per game in the regular season.
22 per game in the playoffs.
Thats called a rotation player not end of the bench scrub.
Reggie Jackson played 23 minutes per game in the regular season and 37 per game in the playoffs and has always been a rotational player (and even a starter) in his career.
He is also not an end of the bench scrub

But don't take my word for it, by all means start a thread asking if those guys are end of the bench scrubs and if they ever have been this year.

Also, Jae Crowder the guy everyone on this board overrates and romanticizes is playing terrible. Surprise surprise.

7/26 from 3 and is averaging 7 PPG in 31 minutes per game. He obviously isn’t stopping anyone on defense either.
