I don't believe in it, but to use it in this context, tough in cheek, to illustrate the inequity of it, is legitimate in my opinion. I'm not favorable to political correctness because I believe it's disingenuous. Furthermore, censoring words is a totalitarian act. There's no reason this word should not be used; it does not denigrate anyone like the N word.

Digging in your heels isn't necessary. It's a ****** thing to minimize, point blank. In any case, my concern is as much that the profanity filter contains terms that are objectively less offensive (case in point; I can use the term "poopy" that just got filtered and not a pearl would be clutched).

I don't understand your last sentence so I hope this is the extent that it's addressed.

I added more and I totally disagree with your position. If you want to start banning words because the thought of them upsets you, that's your prerogative but that will include a large number of other words, for instance, like massacre, mutilate, and cannibalize. I hope I have made my point.

This isn't an assault on anyone's freedom, it's an attempt at appealing to basic decency. This is a message board with an extant profanity filter. If ****, ****, etc are too much for some to handle, then the word in question far exceeds that criteria. If you're more offended by this conversation than the term you used then I guess I don't have anything else to say that might be productive.

Love this trade for us. Couldn't be better. I love giving up garbage and getting all-stars. Hell yeah!

We are on a different page, so to speak, or maybe you don't get my point, The word is not offensive -- it's the act. Using the word is much different than committing the act.
