It SHOULD be Favors. Just hoping it's that and they don't get gutted in trying to dump his salary, at which point I will be happy because it means it's less likely that they try to offload someone else for the primary purpose of cutting salary.

Trick question — all these dudes will always be Jazzmen whether or not they get moved tomorrow.

I voted Bogey, but that’s a heart not a head pick. What I think happens is we attach our first to trade Favors and then watch someone flip him for a second rounder moments later.

I went with Bogey as I think he represents value to most teams, but I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody is traded.

Faves going out means we are also losing our pick and possibly a future one as well.

It is already unpalatable to attach a first to offload a guy making only $9 million. But another future asset too? Effffff that.

A Favors salary dump is just a bad piece of business if we have any offer on the table to cut salary that returns positive, equal, or even future value involving another player. Yes, even if it means giving up a beloved member of our good, but very aging, core.

Favs is a bad contract, but he’s playable and a relatively small bad contract. If the only deal on the table is a Favs dump where we attach our first and don’t even get a usable cheaper player or lesser assets back, we should just take the medicine and pay the tax or find a deal for Bogey.

Giving up a first for a dump of a useful player on only a $9 million dollar contract is bananas. Yes, I understand the concerns of an escalating luxury tax penalty, but come on Ryan, just suck it up.

If you know Batum or Rudy Gay would come for the taxpayer MLE... then trading Bogey into the Knicks space for one of their firsts and maybe their early second is a great move. Let's be honest... FA has begun and many of these guys have a good read on where they are headed.

Its more likely we land someone good with the taxpayer MLE if we open up a spot for them to start. Trading Bogey is probably the smart move if you land some flexibility and something solid. Trade Favs only if the cost to dump him is small.

If we really really feel the need to dump favs and make my weiner very limp... then I'd at least try and get a player out of the deal...

I'd tell OKC I will do Favs and 30 for Williams or Roby and 55 or tell Charlotte its Mcdaniels and 56. I'm prepared to be really disappointed tomorrow but if we get a player I will forgive Ryan from being a cheapass I guess.
