Overall, I like the team @toddychurch has put together. It’s too point guard heavy for my taste (I prefer to build around dynamic wings) but it has talent and flair. Love his big pairing of Vucevic and Valanciunas. It was impressive for him to get them as late as he did.

His biggest problem in this matchup is that he doesn’t have anyone that can check Donovan - much less Giannis. I just have the best two players on the court at any given moment.

Agreed.

@Coach Ellis has the number one pick in Giannis which anyone would have a difficult time stopping and then Donovan and SGA on the wing. My strategy against Coach Ellis would be to use my length against Giannis in the post throwing multiple 7+ footers at him, forcing him to pass it out. Donovan and Porter Jr. are the best spot up shooters he has (in my opinion) and though Donovan and SGA may not be shut down he is bothered by length which Edwards and Lavine have along with the speed to keep up with them.

On offense I have too much firepower for him to stop. My team may be point guard heavy, but it's quick, potent and will score in large amounts. I disagree that he has the two best players on the court at any given moment, Giannis yes, but Kyrie at nearly 26+ppg, 4 reb and 8 ast, Lavine at 27+ppg, 5 reb and 5 ast, Fox at 25+, 3 reb and 7 ast and Trae at 25+, 3 reb and 9 ast are all comparable to Donovan's 26+, 4 ast, 5 reb and SGA's 23+ppg, 4 reb and 5 ast. In the front court, Giannis and Wood are forced to guard big, tall guys (Vucevic, Porzingis and Valanciunas) who stretch the floor and in the case of Valanciunas, punish people down low, while Collins is no slouch as a rebounder, defender and scorer; Edwards is a very good defender and scorer who can get hot (as we've experienced).

Overall, I believe that despite having Giannis, Donovan and SGA, my team with it's speed and offensive potency combined with the length and rebounding ability will cause too many problems for Coach Ellis' team.

I’m honestly shocked you’re losing by this much I really liked you’re team

That starting lineup from Todddy might be the worst defensive combo you could pick. It has a ton of offense though, but I don't think this would be close in a real series

Well, I’m learning that @Coach Ellis is good at this. Second, there are definitely biases for and against certain players. I’m going up against Donovan and Giannis who are beloved on here, while Kyrie doesn’t get much love. Finally, it’s just a difference of preference on styles. I felt like I built my team with an outside in approach where I could have a 5 out line up, a drive and kick line up and a pick and roll line up depending on matchups.
But yeah, I thought my team was as stronger than what others seem to think. Oh well.

That’s why this is interesting because I think you’re underrating the defense too much while not considering the effect a potent offense with ball movement has on a defense when it comes time to play offense.
