Have You Ever Been To A Professional Football Game?

The NY Jets have a new QB (Zach Wilson) and he is a super rich kid from Utah. Family is involved in the airline industry. I wanted to see just how rich his family is so I found a picture of his family home in Utah:

Wow. I'm impressed. That home is pretty high end in Utah. But the point is this: They gave a "stat" during the game that was hilarious. The announcer said that Zach Wilson had never been to an NFL game in his life. That means the first NFL game he ever attended was one in which he is the starting quarterback! Wild.

Led me to think...Utah does not have a professional football team so I wonder how many of you Utes here have ever attended a pro football game?

I have not. My brother has been to a few Denver Broncos games.

My house is almost that nice.

Zach needs a better team around him. That O-line needs help. The joys of being a high draft pick.

Saw seahawks vs the falcons. I think it was the first year of the new stadium in seattle and mike vicks rookie year. It was a good time.

Ya the jets suck. Plus I was watching much of that game. The first 7 first down plays were all run plays. Then they would be in 2nd and long and it would be obvious passing plays. The line sucked and he was always under pressure, the play calling was horrible, and his receivers were dropping catches that they should be able to make. There was one pass that was about 55 yards in the air and went right through the receivers arms (there was also a bit of pass interference on the play that wasn't called, though it wasn't egregious)
Plus there were a ton of injuries during pre season and then some more in game 1. Zach Wilson is basically screwed. Still had a pretty decent game though despite all of that.

Like everything, the definition of “rich” is subjective. I don’t know his family personally. I know the rough area they live. I think I would probably classify that area as “well off” or “better than average”. But again, I don’t know them personally. His uncle is Dave Neeleman, founder of Jet Blue.
I’ve been to one NFL game, in 2005. My sister is a huge Broncos fan and she and I went to Denver and watched them destroy my Jets. It was fun. Next time, I’ll splurge and get good seats, not nose bleeds.
I’ve told my boys (one is a Seahawks fan and one is a Saints fan) that if and when they’re teams play in Vegas we’ll go.

Huh?

I follow professional football. There is no such thing in football called a Grand Final. You must be thinking of snooker or darts or soccer or cricket or some other meaningless activity non-Americans do.
100,000 crazed fans watching a game appropriately named football. You know where more than one player on each team kicks the ball mate

It's not in America so it doesn't count.

This is true.

How'd The Beatles do when they were big in Liverpool or big in Hamburg? The Beatles only mattered (and made big bucks) after they came to America.

I'm not trying to be mean, just being honest that nothing in this world counts unless it is American. The guy above mentions soccer. Well, the bottom line is the only time soccer was important to the world was when Pele played for the New York Cosmos.

I've seen Messi score a hat trick at the Nou Camp, on a champions league night no less. Been to a couple of grand finals, went to a couple of games at the rugby world cup (ended up drinking with the Papa New Guinean team, great lads.)

In terms of authentic feel tho the Italian GP at Monza or singing with the St Pauli Ultras would probably be the best.

Actually Melo raises an interesting question of the professional football codes who on average would make the most money over a career? What's the average NFL career? 2 or 3 seasons?

Did you go last week and see your boy Ricciardo win?
