Now that we know the Jazz will play 66 games this season, the math becomes easy.
To break even for his career, coach Tyrone Corbin will have to go 39-27. That’s almost .600 basketball, the winning percentage that landed Jerry Sloan in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Those numbers help illustrate where Corbin and the Jazz were positioned, when we left them in April.
The lockout is almost over, but look out: Reality is about to resume in Jazzland.

I sure hope Corbin does well, but I haven't got the slightest idea if he will. Other than eagerly watching the development of the rookies I'm very excited (scared) to see what is in store for the Jazz under coach Corbin.

Not many rookie coaches do well in the NBA. I realize it happened fast last year but I continue to wish the Jazz would have spent time doing a search with Ty as an interim coach instead of giving him the job.

Agree, but it is what it is, so c'mon Ty, show us some brilliance.

I think he will do good. I'm not expecting us to have a winning record this year, but we should be respectable.

If it doesn't work out I understand Sloan would be interested in coaching again if the right situation came along.

I’m willing to give Ty this season, baring he doesn't lose games in long stretches!

3 questions I want to see answered regarding Ty:
1. Does he have a plan he can implement
2. Can he make adjustments
3. Does the team play hard for him as a collective unit

4. Can he manage at the end of the qtrs, half and game? (substitions, clock, fouls, and strategy)
5. Can he even drop 25% of the quotables that Ol' Jerry was able to drop.
