Rittenhouse

To be fair, if this was only a violent protest likely nothing would have happened. The first guy shot was a suicidal mental patient who had just been released earlier that day. I'm not being hyperbolic. He just got out and had all of his possessions in a clear plastic bag the institution had given to him. He had thrown that bag at Rittenhouse seconds before lunging at him.

You'd expect looting, burning, brick throwing, and graffiti because that is how you convince people that Black lives matter but I don't think much of anyone had suicidal mental patient on their riot bingo card. As for the rest of the heroes after the mental patient committed suicide by provocation, all they had to do was let Rittenhouse run down the street to surrender to police.
Cool way to say that you're not convinced that black lives matter.

Here's an excellent youtube from a very very above average youtube channel that describes another example of a person with a murder fantasy who killed somone.

It's long but it's worth it. All of the stuff JCS makes is worth your time, honestly. I think he puts out a video every 6-9 months or so.

Here's another murder fantasy warrior. This is one I reference frequently.

These people are Rittenhouse people. These are people who WANT to kill other humans. They actively seek opportunities to kill with an imagination that their actions will be justified.

Watch those videos. Watch them especially if you are extremely in favor of gun rights and self defense.

Watch them 5x times if you think Kyle Rittenhouse is some sort of a hero.

Kyle Rittenhouse will be found not guilty, but he isn't innocent. Kyle Rittenhouse wanted to kill. Kyle Rittenhouse wanted to end human lives. He found a situation where he could fulfill his fantasy and get away with it.

Kyle Rittenhouse is a murderer. Celebrate him with caution.

I'll talk for 1000s hours about how guns should and should not be used. I enjoy technical discussion about firearms.

I'm a firearms right's advocate.

I just don't think firearms should be used for vigilante purposes. I don't think people should use firearms to embolden themselves to enter into confrontations they would have otherwise avoided.

I'm an advocate for responsible and reasonable firearm ownership.

Owning a firearm doesn't deputize you to enforce the law. Owning a firearm doesn't empower you to enter into conflicts you would have otherwise avoided.

I am convinced that is how you destroy popular support for your movement. It turns out the majority of people are sour on looting, burning, brick throwing, and graffiti.

I’m going to head to Hogle Zoo, jump into the lion enclosure because some of the lions are fighting and shoot any lion that tries to kill me. Self-defense and what not.

Yep, thanks to the prosecution obstructing the evidence collection he was able to say that. Although it would have been far better to have a copy of the phone it will still be interesting to see what Grosskreutz's roommate-at-the-time Jacob Marshall testifies on Wednesday. I have a feeling Marshall is going to say Grosskreutz is lying.
The CNN story I posted stated: “He traveled to Kenosha on August 25, 2020, by himself because he felt his medical experience and knowledge would be helpful. He wore a hat reading "paramedic" and brought medical supplies and his firearm, which he said he carried with him every day. He admitted his concealed carry license had expired and he had not renewed it. Grosskreutz said he treated about 10 people that night, including one who had a serious cut after being hit by a rubber bullet.”

Given his status as a medic, who claimed to have helped many during that summer’s demonstrations, including that night, I would find it hard to believe that his intention was to kill Rittenhouse.

That "medic" was the first person to fire a shot that night. If you watch the earlier video where Rosenbaum was lying in wait to ambush Rittenhouse, jumped out from behind the truck at which Rittenhouse said "friendly, friendly, friendly!" and retreated away from Rosenbaum, you can hear a gunshot. That gunshot was from Grosskreutz. There is nothing to indicate Grosskreutz was in any danger at that point. He certainly wasn't the one being chased by a suicidal mental patient. I don't think he was trying to render 9mm of medical aid at 1,000 feet per second. If anyone in all of this had a murder fantasy, it was the "medic" with a criminal record who had traveled into the area, began shooting when no one was trying to harm him, and pursued Rittenhouse with gun in hand to stop him before Rittenhouse could reach the police at the end of the block.

He did craft his story carefully but even at that he had to admit that while his hands were up Rittenhouse did not shoot. It was only after Grosskreutz took aim with his Glock that Kyle used his weapon. As for the rest of it, you may want to withhold some judgement until after Jacob Marshall testifies on Wednesday.

What do you think the overall count is of Black Lives Matter protests that have featured looting, etc.?

You are the one that made a joke about how you convince people that black lives matter.

That joke makes a lot of assumptions in order to be considered a joke.

So I'm convinced I DGAF about the support of people like you who get turned off when racism gets called out. I don't know why you think I would want your support anyway. I'm not going to ignore reality so that I can build some popular base of support.
