It’s a lot easier than pulling assets out of thing air. That's a lot of work to get Garrett Temple.

We have Temple level assets. Expiring contracts is all it should take. I think JB would also be more than enough... though I'd be upset if we moved him. It’s a lot easier than pulling assets out of thing air.
Yeah, I wouldn’t trade JB for someone on Temple’s level. The only way we get a Temple or Craig is in a 3-for-1, which means the other team has to waive some guys, so I don’t know that anyone in the $5M ballpark is reasonable. We have Temple level assets. I could get behind a Bogey for Grant swap somehow. Grant's 3 pt shot has slipped some, but he would more than make up for it in defensive presence and shot-creating ability. Grant in the starting 5 would be pretty tight. In this article from the ringer Kevin O'Connor mentions the possibility of the Jazz packaging Bogey at the deadline along with future picks and youth for Jerami Grant. Grant currently has torn ligaments in one of his fingers and is out a least the next 6 weeks.

I'm not sure Barnes is that big an upgrade over Bogey at this point. He's better defensively but it's not a gigantic leap, and scoring they are pretty even. It would have to be the right deal for that one for sure.I think Grant and Harrison Barnes are the two guy's I would be willing to move Bogey for.
To build off this: I think Clarkson really embodies the "just keep shooting" mentality of the Jazz. Like if he wasnt on the team, everyone would suddenly become more conscious of missing shots and having less confidence, resulting in more passed up shots. Clarkson is a steady reminder just to shoot the ball. There is some part of me that believes everything will fall apart if we trade Clarkson for some reason. Like even though he's clearly the worst player out there and he takes a ton of shots, his intangible likability factor just trumps everything else and somehow makes Utah better.
I think he's a bigger upgrade than Grant. I'd have a few hesitations on a Grant deal. I wouldn't want to give up the "young players and first round picks" that all of these deals seem to assume we have... we don't.I'm not sure Barnes is that big an upgrade over Bogey at this point. Bogey and Barnes are nearly mirror-images of each other. Both are scoring nearly the same on nearly the same splits, and both have a -1.6 DBPM, just for one basic measure of defense. An even swap would yield a pretty minor upgrade if any. Barnes is a better rebounder, but with Gobert/Whiteside both being monsters on the glass this year, and the way we play it is hard to say if that will translate that much. Grant is a better scorer and much better defender than either of them, averaging over a steal and a block this year even being a bit off. And considering our needs on perimeter D he would be a real upgrade over Bogey, and Barnes for that matter, while still being a scoring threat and a floor spacer despite his lower 3 pt percentage this year. But the point about how do we get him (or anyone really) is valid. It will take more than we can put together, for those very reasons. And frankly, I doubt the FO has it in them to make any kind of move on this level this year. We are far more likely to see them stand pat and dance with the one that brung'em, so to speak.I think he's a bigger upgrade than Grant. I'd have a few hesitations on a Grant deal. I think the rebounding is helpful so I think Barnes > Bogey... but like you said... it ain't by a lot. I do wonder if Barnes would get better looks with our group. I think the rebounding is one of the problems we have that could be partially solved with some personnel upgrades.Bogey and Barnes are nearly mirror-images of each other. Would you trade Jared Butler for him?Yuta Watanabe is so damn good defensively. Watching the KIngs game. We got to get this guy.
No, I wouldnt. I do believe in the potential of Butler.Would you trade Jared Butler for him?
