that's kind of a non-story. he said all along that he would most likely test the free agent market, even after the trade. doesn't mean he won't re-sign with the nets next summer, he just wants to have options.

Actually, he's said in the past that he'd consider extending with NJ.

He's putting the team on notice now that they better upgrade fast or he's gone. If the trade for Dwight Howard went down next week, he'd probably extend.

Sensible. He doesn't want to end up like Garnett when he was in Minnesota.

I think it is a smart move on his part. Instead of taking the 2 year/39 million extension he can opt out and actually sign a 5 year/101 million contract with the Nets. Or a 4 year/73 million deal somewhere else. This definitely doesn't mean he is leaving the Nets.

He is putting the Nets in a crappy spot. Exactly where Utah didnt want to be. Hopefully if he leaves he will have the decency to let the Nets try and do a sign and trade.

This just makes KOC look even smarter.

This is the same Deron we all know.

Deron has a winning mentality, not a big market mentality. If NJ doesn't get another all star, he's as good as gone.

fixed that for ya.

He'll be living in LA before Christmas 2012.

Some people here were still living in a pipe dream that he was going to stay. Very glad we made the trade we did. here is hoping the Golden State pick ends up solid.

I like it better than what other superstars are doing. I don't hear news about Dwill constantly talking to other superstars to plan to go somewhere together. Everything I hear out of Chris Paul lately makes me feel super bad for Hornets fans.

Wow. I guess he is going to get really excited if Dwight gets traded for. I wonder if the wife will have concerns.

Deron and Griffin will be the next big duo. The funny thing is, those two might end up with a better team than Carmello, Amare, and Paul or the big three.

But Chris said his heart is in NO. Which means He's going to leave his heart there and play for the Knicks.

Go find the quote, he said, "Right now my heart is in NO." The next instant it was back to NY where it had been since Crymelo got there.

I still think Dwill will go to Dallas. It makes too much sense. It has everything he wants. I could see the Clippers if they have a really good season, Dwill might consider himself the final piece, but they may miss the playoffs again this year.

If I were the Thunder I would try to unload Westrbook and secure cap room for next year to get Dwill. That would be Dwill's dream scenario. Established star in Durant, not a huge place so media attention won't be suffocating, and they are winning now.

Deron and Griffin would be the most unstoppable force in the NBA. If Deron's all about winning, that's where he goes unless Jersey pulls off the miracle and lands Dwight.

If Griffin is one half of an unstoppable force he should be able to make the playoffs with Eric Gordon, Mo Williams, and Chris Kaman. If he he doesn't, I could see Dwill being turned off by that.

If I could choose any team not named the Jazz for Dwill to join though, it would be the Clippers. Blake Griffin seems like a cool dude, so I would enjoy watching them.

A) He was a rookie. B) He had no PG last year. Deron and Griffin were born to play with one another. No exaggeration, I think with only one year under their belts Griffin would average 30 a night and the Clips would be Top 3 in the West. Which is why I'm praying the Nets figure out how to get Howard.

I was talking about this year, if he doesn't make it this year.
