Ya if we didn't need him to play defense at all and he could just shoot catch and shoot threes and run his slow mo jo pick and roll with Gobert then he would be fine. We need a bit of defense from him though.

Gobert scored over 20 points in 9 games last year.
Tonight was his 10 game over 20 points this year.

The most surprising thing of the season for me, so far, is how well Whiteside is playing defense without fouling. His awareness and concentration is much higher and more consistent than I thought it would be.

Nice game. Not perfect. Blazers were severely outmanned but still a road victory against a hot damien Lillard while donovan was out. Good win.
