You might be right. I don't haven't watched the Pelicans enough to really know if the awfulness is mainly in his shot or everywhere else in his game. The stats look like he has some possible utility as a secondary playmaker and defender who can at least produce decent counting stats on that side of the ball as a 2-guard with size.NAW's sophomore season definitely showed promise. This year though...dreadful. IMO, the difference between Paschall is that Paschall had skills to hang his hat on. He was a dominant paint scorer and at least had the reputation of being a tough defender. NAW is pretty awful at the thing he's supposed to be good at.
We'll have to see. I'm hoping he has to earn minutes the same way Paschall has. He was slotted in as a Jordan Clarkson-type in NO and as an up-and-coming starter (by mistake or necessity, perhaps) with the Pels. Let's hope there's something more useful if the Jazz re-imagine his role.
