Bump
If Phoenix gets this deal done they could be terrifying. Ayton, Bridges, Booker all take a step forward. They could also do the deal after using like 19M in cap space to sign Gallo, Wood, Ibaka, Joe Harris, Bertans etc.
Imagine CP, Booker, Bridges, Gallo or Wood, Ayton... obviously CP has to stay somewhat healthy and they are a surefire playoff team... maybe with homecourt advantage in the first round.
They should make that happen.
I just can’t with that contract. Thunder want to move him because he’s so expensive.
I want flexibility going into 2022.
Oof, no no no.
You want to give a 1st, too? Hehehe.
Not only do Rudy and CP3 not get along (though I'd wager, they'd be best buds on the same squad).
What would concern me is CP3 needs the ball in his hands more than Conley does. If Donovan doesn't get to dribble - that takes away all of his dribble-drive moves. Part of the reason CP3's points, FG%, 3P%, and FT% went UP this season vs last season - he had the ball in his hands a lot more. He would probably be a better fit than Conley, but for how long? CP3 with be CP36 years old by the end of this season, and when players of that age get an injury - it's often their last injury.
Also Paul does nothing to help with our length and defensive backcourt issues.
Phoenix is taking a huge gamble. OKC took his contract with nothing to lose and everything to gain (draft picks).
I actually thought we should throw a pick with Conley halfway through CP's year in OKC. People bitched about the salary. Imagine how good CP would make Rudy look? We might have a title if we had done it.Just bumping for the revisionist history that’s being going around lately. About half of the board didn’t want anything to do with Paul.

@Handlogten’s Heros nailed it man.
Also one can argue we will end up pay more for Conley than Suns did for Paul.
All we need to do is to get to the play-in tournament then lose.
There you have it. Memphis will gladly take a lottery pick from us then go on to compete for a championship at the end of the regular season.
I still want nothing to do with him.Just bumping for the revisionist history that’s being going around lately. About half of the board didn’t want anything to do with Paul.
