Then thats who I trade donovan or gobert for.

He has good measurements and athleticism… his stroke looks silky smooth… he’s somewhere on the Kevin Durant - Jayson Tatum - Rudy Gay spectrum of player. I just think those types of guys are so much easier to plan and build around. Chet may become some super unique unicorn but I worry the body never fills out or holds up to nba physicality or the nba schedule. I get why someone would take him top 3 but I’d rather not be the team that takes that dice roll.

I would much rather spin the wheel in 2023 as I feel it’s a better class.

I think if you rebuild you need someone to watch now for the fans sake. Might not have a top 5 guy but you’d want at least a lottery guy to help wave the flag of hope.

If Chet can shoot and hold up physically then he is the perfect big to have beside and behind Gobert.

They are the rumored Donovan destination… so them having a valuable trade chip may be what starts a trade convo off. As it sits the #12 pick plus a pile of othe future picks is fairly “meh” but a top 4 pick with some other stuff is something to strongly consider.

This is how I see it. I don't think he's traded this offseason unless either he A. Requests a trade then it's a case of find the best deal possible regardless of where he wants to be moved to. B. Knicks move into the top 4. I think this is a deal trader Danny goes after even if Donovan doesn't request out.

The sell is yeah we are trading a star but we’ll get another one immediately… plus some flexibility… plus the shine is off Donovan so the market will embrace this if we nail it.
