Kendall Marshall and Austin Rivers....our future backcourt

Marshall would be the perfect floor general for the Jazz. He's a pass first guard and he's got great size.

Rivers is a ball hog but is a shooter and has big all star potential. He could finally be the scoring guard the Jazz have always wanted.

Both these guys are slated around when the Jazz would pick in the 2012 draft with the Warriors pick and the Jazz having around a .500 season.

Or the Jazz take both picks and trade up for Harrison Barnes. :)

Having seen how Watson fits in with us last year and running our system, I'm leaning towards a "floor general" type player rather than a slashing athletic PG.

Culture of team = Jazz basketball = team basketball

I've watched Rivers this year. He really isn't that much of a ball hog. Duke relies on him at times to iso because he is the only player on the team that can get his own shot any time. He also isn't a good shooter. He has poor jump shot form.

Also with point guard - vision is quite important. If you're not used to looking to make that pass in college it would probably be tough to do it in the NBA.

Rivers is a little too one on one oriented for me. He wastes a lot of time pounding the ball on the perimeter and freezes out teammates in the process. He doesn't seem to be able to play without the ball so is probably very low on KOC's big board at this point. Marshall's game at PG is ideal for the Jazz system, but the Jazz will likely be drafting high enough that the pick is going to be weighted around 80% on BPA and 20% need.

Think we are jumping the gun. GS. Could end up keeping their pick, and we could make the playoffs, and end up with no picks.

I'm more offended at how brazenly lame that was than anything else.

I'm sorry if I've deeply offended you for not liking your crappy taste in basketball prospects.

Ok then NBA scout tell me then who the two players should have been.
