Not sure why people think moving Donovan to the 1 is a problem solver. I get he isn't a good match with Conley. He needs a Lonzo Ball kind of 1. The one thing DM excels at is scoring. I think he is an average, at best, distributor with a low BBIQ. Not really what you want from a 1.What they say publicly about their roster is just posturing. I think it's likely the Jazz will trade Gobert, Conley and Bogdanovic. They'll get younger, bigger and longer on the perimeter and move Mitchell to the 1.
If it were me, I'd be open to moving Donovan, but the front office is probably convincing itself that they can do this rebuild around Donovan and convince him to stay. They probably also think they can move Donovan in a year if they have to.
