What's new

Quin could decide to end 8 year tenure with Jazz according to Woj and MacMahon

What they say publicly about their roster is just posturing. I think it's likely the Jazz will trade Gobert, Conley and Bogdanovic. They'll get younger, bigger and longer on the perimeter and move Mitchell to the 1.

If it were me, I'd be open to moving Donovan, but the front office is probably convincing itself that they can do this rebuild around Donovan and convince him to stay. They probably also think they can move Donovan in a year if they have to.
Not sure why people think moving Donovan to the 1 is a problem solver. I get he isn't a good match with Conley. He needs a Lonzo Ball kind of 1. The one thing DM excels at is scoring. I think he is an average, at best, distributor with a low BBIQ. Not really what you want from a 1.

We are an organization in disarray. At the Zanik end of year media availability, I thought he said there was no turmoil? Now it’s we have no idea how much turmoil there was?

First it was “expect major changes in the offseason,” now our only meaningful assets, Rudy and Don, are our “building blocks?”

Are we afoot or on horseback here? Does anyone have any idea on which way is up?

Get your **** together, dear Jazz organization.

There just seems to be a huge disconnect across the entire organization right now. Quinn was a Lindsey/Miller hire and while Zanick has the title of GM, I think it's safe to say that Ainge/Wade/Ryan are the ones running the show.

i fear this is probably very close to the mark. And saying Quin had no control of the no buy in thing doesn't exactly speak volumes for his people / leaderships skills. He should just hurry up and decide one way or the other
Meh. I just think that we've been pretty limited with what we could do on both ends of the floor due to our roster construction and Quinn is pissed that we haven't added the pieces required to win in the modern NBA playoffs.

I also skipped through it and the hilarious thing was them talking about Rudy's pick and roll defense is "horrible" and that guys like Luka will go at him and he may affect like 1 out of 15-20 shots.

The also mentioned we don't have any power forwards... we don't have a "Markieff Morris" we don't have someone with Lebron's athleticism... just seems like there is a gap between those two mentions.
Y'all must be new to the Monty Show lol.

Tony acting like it was the Arenas wizards… jebus… a couple guys in an nba locker room have an ego and Quin can’t handle it. Sorry not everyone is Ricky Rubio, Favs, and Niang. Sometimes it comes with the territory. Lolz at Tony saying none of it is stuff Quin can control or is his fault… this team takes zero ownership over anything… nothing is anything that anyone can control and no one is to blame for anything.

Bunch of ****ing softees

So now, if we are going to keep Don/Rudy/Quin together, we need to find players to surround them who are long, athletic, can defend, shoot, pass, AND be glue guys in the locker room.

- First thing to deal with is the coach. Can we win with this coach? some may say yes, for me not. The way he let this team slide in the wrong direction show a lack of leadership.
- Can Rudy/Don win together? probably yes but for that you have to add players with different qualities that the one we have. Can we do that? not easy. So trading one of them might be one option.
- IF we trade one of them, which one?. I m sorry to say that as a french people, but Rudy is the one who should go.
- At least this team won't win anything as long as they will consider Don as their player number one. He can't defend, struggle at money time so many times. But considering him as a number 1 bis and add another real star player may work. Can we do that? Not easy too.
Future look not easy....

Quin Price Snyder has obtained sufficient time for reflection. He must arrive at a decision forthright. Lo, this is not a Clash song that can be played ad nauseam. His introspection must reveal a historical affinity to cocoa plant products and jokes concerning the maltreatment of women of ill repute. Primitively speaking, he must defecate or leave the toilet.

The past 12 months has been both frustrating and very entertaining. I’m sure we will have a lot more drama over the next few months and I’m all for it.

Interesting interview with Tony Jones on Bill Riley's show today.

-Said that the extension the Jazz offered him is significant in terms of money.
- Quin wants some clarity in terms of how much say he would have in roster construction and decision making.
-Quin was hurt by the fact that he didn't have 100% buy-in from his roster this season, this is the first time this has happened since he's been with the Jazz. Tony says that it wasn't his fault that he didn't have complete buy-in from the roster.
-Fans have no idea how much was going on behind the scenes with this team last year and that may make Quin reluctant to come back.
-Internally the Jazz really have no idea how this is going to play out and it's just a waiting game at this point until Quin makes his decision.

It’s DWill and Jerry all over again except nobody man enough to quit and nobody man enough to say trade me.

I’m surprised you would say that being a French fan. If it were up to me, I’d trade Mitchell and keep Gilbert because even though Gobert is older he still seems to be trending upwards whereas for me Mitchell’s in decline. And more than anything I think it’s Gobert’s defense that fuels our regular season success. That all being said, with the right return pieces I feel we could trade both now stockpile some draft picks and still make the playoffs next year, I mean assuming a better developmental coach like Kenny Atkinson.
