They arent taking Wiggins out, a guy who D's up when the opposing team has Brown/Tatum out there. They already have to hide Steph to an extent, they arent going to be able to do that with Steph and Donovan. It's common sense. Donovan has no place in the NBA Finals.

Give actual reasoning behind why Mitchell would start on either team that goes beyond "He will magically start playing defense on another team".

He would be best as a 6th man on both teams, and would be great in that role. No shame in being a bench player. The boost to either teams offense would be minimal at best, potentially negative. Off the bench he would be great as they could minimize his minutes when he starts getting roasted on defense.
