this lines up with a lot of what's been said all year long. that's how the NBA operates these days (ex. Klutch sports and Lebron.) It's a completely reasonable take, cmon dude.

Gawd I hope not. A franchise giving power to a top 40 player that thinks he is a top 5 and doesn't want to be there is a recipe for disaster.

He was brought in to cater to Ryan Smith, who is catering to Mitchell.

Ainge just gives Smith some legitimacy. He is paying his friend a lot of money to give him basketball cred. Same thing with Wade. You have a guy who knows nothing about basketball who is paying dudes to be his friends so he can make decisions that interfere with management/coaching.

The team tried catering to Hayward as well, so it’s no shock to me.

DWade has nothing to do with team decisions. He's has an incredibly small ownership stake that the Jazz use to boost their image. He's just a show piece for Ryan Smith to add legitimacy to his basketball status.
