Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

So essentially we're going to ride it out for a year so that All-Star weekend is fun, then blow up the roster? lol
I'm basically expecting this. Trade a few spare parts but still remain "competitive" to have Rudy and Mitchell in the game, then burn it down besides Mitchell. (this is what I expect, not what I want.)

A deal with Chicago likely doesn’t happen without Vucevic. Salary has to match. Maybe they can get a third team involved.

2027 is so far away you literally have no idea if that’s a late first or not lol.

Chicago fans don’t even want to deal Williams in a deal for Gobert. He is the real prize and you get 18 plus an unprotected 1st in 2027. Coby isn’t that bad either I think he is a great buy low candidate especially if we hire someone like Bryant as HC.
I think I’m on an island here, but Williams the actual player doesn’t do much for me. If the reason to be excited about Williams is potential, then I’m just as (if not more) keen to pursue other future facing assets. Like, if they are being really resistant to putting him in the deal and really want Gobert (they really should), then that theoretically means you can ask for more elsewhere.

I’ve said this before but I’m as high but probably higher on Ayo than I am Williams. Vuc (necessary matching salary), Ayo, White, #18, an unprotected future 1st, and either another 1st or a raft of 2nds sounds fair to me if the Jazz are intent on trading Gobert.

I hope he works out but I don't have much faith in him or NAW.
Butler is going to be good. He is actually a good defender but is small. He gets his hands on the ball a lot. He may be best in the JC type of role. He can create looks for himself and others and has elite shiftiness/handle. His shooting will need to get consistent but that should be better with a good offseason and just some regular rotation minutes (may not happen). He gets so much separation and is very slippery... something the Poole does quite well.

I've seen nothing that tells me he's a guy we should give up on at all. NAW has had a lot of opportunity in NO and hasn't been good... so they are quite different imo.

Williams is somewhat theoretical as of right now. He's a much better prospect than Ayo and is under team control longer (only a year). I like him much more than Hunter... I like him less than OG. He has the highest ceiling of those guys... but he might just never realize that potential.

Ayo is nice though.

Butler hardly played and was inefficient when he did, nothing we've seen has given me any faith that he'll be a guy that sticks around or is a rotational player for us. NAW was a first round pick for a reason, he struggles with efficiency too though.

Ayo was who I wanted at #30, smh.

Williams is a WAY better prospect than Ayo. I was even thinking we ask for Ayo as well in the deal. If they don’t want Gobert for that then they don’t get him.

Toronto has the most to offer now and in the future. A OG/Trent Jr package for Gobert is best case scenario.

How do you expect a guy to be consistent when you throw him in games randomly for a few minutes max. Quin never game him a chance and it’s a damn ****ing shame. He was a mid-first round prospect who fell due to medicals. Butler had the shortest leash possible.
