Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I think you move Royce if you can offload his salary into a trade exception and get draft capital. #23 and Green makes some sense if you waive and stretch Green and then replace Royce with a minimum dude. Saves a few million, gets you a flier, his production is the most replaceable of all the top 6 Jazz players.

23 pick often becomes trash... sometimes it becomes Maxey though...

Am I the only one who’d rather do a deal with Atlanta that didn’t include Hunter vs the Chicago deal with Williams?
so collins, capela and #16 vs vuc, williams, and #18? is that the question? if so, it's very close. i still don't know what to think of williams - just haven't seen enough of him.

I'm not sold on Hunter. I liked him going into his draft, but he hasn't improved much. Maybe it's due to injuries, but he should be doing more by now, imo. He seems strangely passive.

There are guys in this draft, like Eason and Sochan, that I'd be just as comfortable with. Eason could be there at #16, though it's going to be close. Coming away with Collins, Eason and Huerter isn't bad. Throw in another pick or two.

What happened to OG/GTJ from Toronto?

Pretty much except I think we may be able to get Huerter or an extra pick from Atlanta.
I would say the Chicago package pretty easily for me. I think you can get a small sweetner like the charlotte pick from both teams.

I think Collins is the best player right now but he carries some risk on his deal. Williams has some nice upside but who knows. I get the feeling from Lowe and others they may not be as willing as they should to put him on the table.

Will be an interesting couple days.

I'd take Vuc, Williams, and #18. Vuc > Collins or Capela and Williams is a former top 4 pick that just turned 20.

Collins is not better than Vuc right now.

For a winning playoff team he is better. JC can be the starting PF on a conference finals team... Vuc can't be the starting center. Its partly because of role/fit but I think Collins is a lot better than Vuc in a team building concept.

So is Herro better than Donovan Mitchell? He was a key piece for a finals team, Don can't do that.

Not at all lol. Vuc's role on defense caps how far a team that plays him big minutes can get. JC doesn't have those restrictions and his numbers are just as good. Players like Vuc limit what you can do... JC doesn't take a whole lot off the table if anything. He's a waaaaayyyy better piece imo. Just think about all the conference finals teams... who is playing more minutes for those teams... Collins or Vuc?

Out of the assets discussed for Rudy, I think Pat Williams is the best. Doesn't seem like it's going to happen though. If there's no mandate from Don/CAA, there isn't a great reason to trade Gobert anyways. The drama made a trade seem more likely than it was.

Does Orlando still like Vuc? He was an allstar there. I would move Vuc to Orlando for Jonathan Isaac - that would be better than a couple of picks.
