Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

The irony of you posting a clip trying to make a point about Gobert not playing well, but all it shows is Donovan giving ZERO effort once again on defense, getting split like he isnt even there then standing around doing nothing.

I hate this team so much sometimes. Gobert will bust his *** on help defense, then recover to play man defense, and the whole team watches. No one digs, no one helps. Pathetic *** team outside of Gobert.
Member that time he gave multiple defensive efforts and got dunked on!!!! LOLZ.

The guy steps up to stop the dunk... closes out to the three well enough to force a drive. He gets put on skates but still gets back to contest but is late... if one guy rotates or IDK maybe digs in just a little maybe they get a stop. Mann made a nice play... it happens. If he just decides to close out and then calls it a done day he doesn't end up on sportcenter... but he decided he'd rather try.

Now lets see the play where he gets a game saving block on a three after shutting down the paint.

Like just imagine Rudy on a team that actually swarms and plays competent help defense.

You look at any clip from this season where Rudy is giving multiple defensive efforts and recovering and you will see 4 Jazz players standing upright and ball watching.

Give Rudy some pitbulls, not puppies who are being groomed for a dog show like a Pomeranian aka Donovan Mitchell.

Gobert stops two other players from scoring, and is out of position when Mann gets the ball. To you, that's an issue with Gobert. Hmmmmmm....

But Atlanta's narrative is they want another "star" next to Trae. So they are either packaging Collins with others for a player they like more, or they are trading Collins for some role players to move up in the draft.

They arent going to be interested in old *** Bogey until they make those moves, and by that time they wont have any more pieces to give Utah for that to happen.

yeah, you're probably right. I think the only players on the Hawks roster that the Jazz would trade Bogey for are Hunter Collins and Huerter, and the Hawks probably aren't giving any of them up for a 33 year.

I think it is on Quinn. Well, it is Quin asking them to play conservative D all the time, because they are not that good (based on the advanced stats). And that habit is burned into them.

The way some of you talk about Rudy I'd assume he's a mix of Giannis and prime Shaq.
He's been a top 10 most valuable player in the league by pretty much every advanced impact metric for the last 5-6 years.

He's not Giannis and he's not prime Shaq. IMO he's one of the most misunderstood(purely basketball-wise) stars in the NBA.

Let me put it like this - He gives you 16 points on 70% TS as the 4th or 5th option on a perennial playoff team offensively. He's one of the most unselfish stars in the league who doesn't need the ball and does all the dirty work not just on defense but on offense too - he sets the most screens in the NBA and is one of the best screen setters in the NBA, creating great opportunities for his ballhandlers off the bounce, for which he gets very little return. He's one of the best offensive rebounders in the league and the best rim roller in the league. In essence, Gobert is a very limited offensive player who cannot create his own shot, but EVERYTHING he actually does on offense, he does at an incredibly high elite level. If you think you can substitute that with a random diet version, you are in for a rude awakening. And that's before we even mention he's quite possibly the best defensive player of this generation.

There is a reason this team started winning the moment Gobert entered the starting lineup. There is a reason this team continues to consistently win - with or without ANY OTHER PLAYER (Conley, Mitchell, Hayward. etc.) in the lineups and becomes mediocre with or without ANY OTHER PLAYER(Mitchell, Hayward, Conley, etc.) the moment Gobert doesn't play.

To me it's pretty sad that people are trying to slander him on his way out the door, when he's been nothing but exceptional as a Jazz player over the last close to a decade. :(

Oh well... lets see what this FO cooks up for us over the next several weeks...

Rudy could also be the best offensive lineman in the league who never allows a QB pressure or sack but gets **** on because the rest of the o-line is ***.
I think a FS/CB that plays behind a crap DL is the best analogy because even the elite DB's will get burnt if the QB has time to throw.

Slander him? I've said Rudy is very good but that his impact is limited in the playoffs.

Rudy and Don can win a title.. but the connecting piece/pieces are difficult to find. When we had draft assets I had hope we could figure it out... now we capped out and owe picks so its over barring a miracle. You needed a Lonzo Ball, Mikal Bridges, to go with Ingles at a minimum. PG and some 3 and D guys would have worked. That piece is so hard to find and we out of runway.
