Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

The biggest thing was Portland could take his salary without sending money back.

Now Detroit is in position to sign Bridges or Ayton to a max offer sheet.
That's true. I just feel like he could have been the missing piece and that we could have figured out something.

Portland goes from out of the playoffs to WCF or finals. Jazz go from playoffs to lottery. But Ryan’s happy because he thinks Don is happy because he hasn’t asked out yet.
Portland would have a lot of issues still. No depth at all. No wings.

I think they will get a first somehow. It was really good for them to be opportunistic and take advantage of POR’s trade exception. They wanted two first for Grant, and getting the pure space should give them a second. Alternatively, they might just be able to sign someone good with the extra space. They’re doing some good things in DET.
I think they getting Ayton... and some draft equity with their space. Now that OKC will be out of cap space teams will need a new vendor.

this is also another cautionary tale for why you shouldn't give up a damn first to dump salary like we did with Favs. If we use that pick here we might land the type of dude we need (would need to add more but could put together a comparable package).

They already could... now they could do their other business while they wait for those teams to match if they want.

The problem isn't DM or Rudy. Yes they have their flaws but the reality is we need more guys who are athletic, can create their shot and play some defense. Now I know not one player can do all three but the rest of the starting 5 are/should be bench guys. Perhaps you can make an argument for Bogey starting. We need length in the back court and on the wings. Royce should not be our starting PF. I believe the Jazz should do a semi-rebuild with using our secondary players to get picks or more athletic/defensive minded players.

I kind of thought Jerami Grant was getting overrated by a few people. Detroit could have gotten so much more from him last year though. No idea why they held onto him so long.

LOL Lakers goin after a player dat sucks... ain't even been traded yet lol.
When comparing the Rudy Gobert/Kyrie Irving situations/rumors...
