Gobert to Minnesota

Don't know, but Don about to find out how hard it is to get to the rim against Rudy...
The whole team about to find out how difficult everything is without the perennial DPOY candidate who also lead the league in rebounding and screen assists, as well as was in the top 5 in ORTG for each of the last 5 years and one of the top for on-off stats in the league each year. Gonna be damn hard.

Also... I don't love doing this, but I TOLD YOU SO. I told you, you better value Gobert for the player he is and has been for the past 5-6 years(top 10 player by pretty much EVERY SINGLE impact metric). I told you those trade proposals revolving around FAILED lottery picks and mediocre starters were insulting. YOU(whoever sees himself in this is welcome to consider himself/herself addressed here) as Jazz fans should have known better. Maybe the fans of those teams didn't know it, but YOU watched him regularly for 9 years and you should have known better.

Anybody know anything about Walker Kessler? Is he any good?

There's no reason to go in "full rebuild mode". We have picks now, and we have proven NBA players.

It bears repeating - the coach is the most important factor.

I think people are sleeping on the actual players we got back as well. We should be able to move Beverly for some type of young player or a couple future 2nds. Beasley has the potential to build some trade value this year. Kessler could be a solid defensive big. I have always been a big fan of Vanderbilt and his defense. I also really like the upside of Bolmero.

Man, I hate to see Rudy go. But the reality is that we got a good haul for him and we are continually exposed in the postseason when he's on the floor that's not entirely Rudy's fault, but the scheme we had to play around him.

I kind of look at it like we actually got five first round picks since Kessler was just drafted at #22 - hopefully he can develop in ways Dok hasn't.
