Gobert to Minnesota

Also... I don't love doing this, but I TOLD YOU SO. I told you, you better value Gobert for the player he is and has been for the past 5-6 years(top 10 player by pretty much EVERY SINGLE impact metric). I told you those trade proposals revolving around FAILED lottery picks and mediocre starters were insulting. YOU(whoever sees himself in this is welcome to consider himself/herself addressed here) as Jazz fans should have known better. Maybe the fans of those teams didn't know it, but YOU watched him regularly for 9 years and you should have known better.

It was baffling. Same with Don trade packages too. I think people were so in love with the idea of tanking the forgot the importance of winning. This board completely undersold the value of winning and contribution Rudy has to winning while also over valuing the picks they so desperately wanted.

Turns out Rudy is really freaking good, and these picks that we were drooling over were not as valuable to teams that desperately want to win.

4.6 blocks in 25.6 minutes per game for Auburn.
I think Kessler will be a 20 minutes a night rim protector in the NBA. I don't see him becoming some full time starter. For how the playoffs are played, he's a perfect option to have when you have to play an Embiid, Jokic, etc.

He can play, but probably just a rotation player which is fine.

Minnesota just overpaid so ****ing much. I honestly am in shock. Go get Ayton now.
Only get Ayton if it comes relatively cheap. Like Beasley for Ayton cheap.

If we get Ayton, we'd have Kessler, Doke AND Ayton all as limited big men rim protectors. I doubt Hardy was brought in to use our same methods from before.

Limited? Kessler averaged 4.6 blocks in 25 minutes of play last year. Not saying he’ll be a great nba rim protector but he could be good. And Ayton is very solid on defense.

We need big men with mixed weapons don't want the Gobert and Hassan bs again. Hardy ain't for that like some Jazz fans on here are

Lol calm down. Minnesota just overpaid like a ************. We literally own their entire draft future. This was a deal you give for a young superstar.

It is solid for both teams. I'm not expecting those to be lottery picks but there are plenty of great players taken between 15 and 30 so you want as many bites as the apple as possible. Plus crazy things happen and situations can fall apart real quick.
I've heard you can pick up generational defensive talent in the late 20s from time to time.

Yes. What in the world makes people think they can have multiple All-NBA and All star players in their prime for cheap(for young players that have proven NOTHING and some mediocre starter/salary filler)? When has that EVER happened? Indeed, the same applies to Donovan. If/when we decide to trade him, you better expect a similar haul if not better. Those players have value. And if you want them, you better be ready to pony up.
