Gobert to Minnesota

One nice thing about the picks..... I will certainly forget about them right up until draft time year after year and get all excited again. This gift gonna keep giving for a long long time.

Yep.

Not to mention - a “bad” (mid to late) first round pick can have tremendous long-term value. Teams want to buy into the first round on draft night for their guy and offer something unprotected in the future.

Never know what some of these turn into.

Trust me on this: You are dramatically underestimating the trade value of 1st rounders.
Check that, unprotected first rounders. Even more valuable'er

Great offseason so far. Now I have three teams to cheer for, Jazz, Bucks and Wolves. I would love seeing Joe, Rudy or Jazz get a chip!
Why the bucks? Do we get something if the bucks do good? Oh wait, ingles right? My bad. Forgot about that with everything else going on in the sports world.
The jazz trades, the pac12 big10 stuff and sean omalley (plus 2 hall of famers in halloway and lawler) fighting tomorrow night makes me forget some of the little things lol.

I urge you to try Arby’s Beef n’ cheddar sandwiches. They are delicious.
Everything at arbys is delicious imo. My favorites are the french dips, the regular roast beefs, and the beef and cheddars but the thing everyone is really missing out on are the jalepeno poppers. They are great. Their new burger is a winner as well.
Also, while prices seem to have gone up pretty much at every restaurant arbys seems to not have raised their prices. 4 roast beefs for 10 bucks is a steal. french dips for 6 bucks is a steal. 2 Cheddar ranch chicken sandwiches for 6 bucks is a steal. And that their everyday all day prices (i think the beef and cheddars you speak of are 2 for 5 bucks which is also a steal.)
Plus they got the best coupons in the business. And they even finally switched from pepsi to coke which is a bonus though I typically dont get a soda.

I bet ainge has something to do with it all.

These are important points that you raise. I have considerable doubt that Ainge is involved, and I lament that my favorite meal, sheepshead stew, will likely never appear on the menu. But I respect your insights and input.

In Tony Jones latest article he says the Jazz initially insisted that Jaden McDaniels be part of the package coming back to the Jazz and Minnesota refused, instead, they upped their picks package substantially and the Jazz agreed to a deal. He says the Jazz believe they can develop Kessler and Vanderbilt and use the other players and picks to try and re-tool the roster on the fly.

Says the Jaz are determined to keep Mitchell and build the roster around him on the fly...but if Ainge receives an offer that approaches the scale of the Gobert trade he will listen. For now the plan is for him to be with the Jazz next season. Also says the Jazz will need to have conversations with Donovan to make sure they have buy-in from him before they build the roster around him.

I will take more picks vs McDaniels all day lol.

Seems pretty reasonable.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but by waiting until after the draft, Ainge was able to get both Walker (their 2022 pick) as well as 4+ picks, as opposed to if he did the trade pre-draft, he’d only have been able to get Walker + 3 picks - is that right?
