Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

What are the Nets options to bring on DM? What team is willing to take on Ben Simmons that could be included in this deak?

The Magic have a lot of interesting pieces: Banchero, Suggs, Wagner, Isaac, Anthony, and some other lesser dudes like allele, Carter, etc.

They have their own 1st and the Bulls 1st in 2023. Some other future additional picks as well.

Mitchell for Suggs, Isaac and both 2023 1sts?

Run out a starting lineup of Butler-Suggs-Isaac-Vanderbilt-Kessler next year en route to 13 wins.

Does anyone kind of want Simmons/ayton and a bunch of picks for Mitchell/bogey. Simmons could be a buy low candidate and really turn his value around.
There’s not a scenario that exists where we should be willing to bail out Brooklyn and jump on the Simmons grenade.

This was offered by a non Jazz fan on Hoopshabit. Who says no? Well besides the 76ers.

NBA Trades: 3-team trade lands Donovan Mitchell on New York Knicks: The trade

Knicks receive: Donovan Mitchell

Jazz receive: Tobias Harris, Obi Toppin, Cam Reddish, Matisse Thybulle, 2023 1st-Round Pick (from NYK, via DAL), 2023 1st-Round Pick (from NYK, via WAS), 2024 1st-Round Pick (via NYK), 2026 1st-Round Pick (via NYK), 2028 1st-Round Pick (via NYK), 2023 2nd-Round Pick (via PHI), 2027 2nd-Round Pick (via PHI), 2029 1st-Round Pick (via PHI)

76ers receive: Evan Fournier, Bojan Bogdanovic

lmao, this is a robbery for the Jazz.

I think you could potentially sell them on the idea of building around Don/Paolo. Suggs was meh last season and Isaac hasn't even played since the bubble. I'd prefer a package built around Carter/Wagner.

If we're able to dump Mike's contract we'd be getting two former #1 overall picks just entering their prime at a discount.

Danny Ainge is already starting to pay dividends, he's extremely calculated with the way that he builds a roster. Even though we didn't get a great return for Ingles that move helped us get under the tax line and we have NAW's expiring this year. Guys like Beasley/Beverly can also be rotational players if we want to be competitive or trade assets with expiring deals if we blow it up.

Brooklyn is going to want all the cream out of the Twinkie in a Jazz, Suns, Nets three way. They are going to want those Phoenix picks AND Bridges AND Mitchell. Screw 'em. Knicks will buckle, even if we need to let them experience life a bit with Brunsen as their "superstar." As bad as we feel like we would be fleecing them, they generally make worse decisions.
That isn’t how trades work though… they don’t get all the cream when they are the team with the most urgency

Reportedly they're not in a rush to move him.
That’s fine but say all the teams walk away from the table… who has the most to lose.

Brooklyn is in a weird position. The haul they get back needs to be much more centered around players that can win now because there is no benefit to losing for them. They’d happily swap out the draft capital for Donovan imo… but the issue is Ben. Finding something good for him might be difficult.

If Brooklyn gets back a bunch of picks it’s a nuclear winter for them… a bunch of picks but no good players and they can’t even reap the rewards of sucking. Then you start the real build in 3-4 years and ask fans to be patient.

I'm 50-50 on Durant getting traded, could easily see him and Kyrie back in Brooklyn.

We don’t even know if Simmons is mentally well enough to step back on the court. We’d absolutely be getting back some good assets, but we’re also gonna be stuck with Ben and his contract.
